Taman Ayun Temple - Located in Mengwi Village, Badung District, approximately 18 km west of Denpasar, Taman Ayun Temple is renowned for its stunning beauty, as its name suggests (Taman Ayun translates to “temple in a beautiful garden”). Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the temple holds significant historical value, prompting the Bali regional government to propose its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2002. Taman Ayun Temple serves as the Mother Temple (Paibon) for the Mengwi Kingdom. It was constructed by the Mengwi King, I Gusti Agung Putu, in the Javanese year 1556 (1634 AD). Initially, I Gusti Agung Putu established a temple north of Mengwi village to honor his ancestors, named Genter Park. As Mengwi expanded into a prominent kingdom, he relocated Genter Park eastward and enlarged the complex, officially naming it Taman Ayun Temple on Kliwon Tuesday - Medangsia, the fourth month of the Javanese year 1556.

Ulun Danu Bratan Temple - Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is dedicated to the lake goddess Ida Batari Dewi Ulun Danu, situated on the edge of a vast crater. The temple’s prominent shrines, known as Meru (pagodas), are devoted to the lake goddess and the deities of Mount Batur and Mount Gunung Agung, Bali’s largest volcano. Constructed in the 17th century, the temple honors the primary Hindu trinity of Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva, along with the lake goddess, Dewi Danu. The breathtaking scenery and refreshing climate of Bali’s uplands make the lake and temple a favored spot for sightseeing and recreation, as well as a popular photography location. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, meaning ‘the source temple of Lake Beratan,’ is one of the island’s most iconic sanctuaries, sharing its picturesque qualities with the seaside temples of Uluwatu and Tanah Lot.

Jatiluwih Green Land - Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Jatiluwih Green Land is a beloved tourist destination in Bali, celebrated for its stunning rice terraces that stretch from the mountain’s base to the coast. The name Jatiluwih combines “Jati,” meaning truly, and “Luwih,” meaning special, good, and beautiful. The local rice varieties planted here are notably larger compared to other prominent rice types grown by most Balinese farmers. Additionally, Jatiluwih is renowned for its organic farming practices, thanks to its location on the Watukaru Mountain plateau, which is ideal for agricultural development.

Tanah Lot Temple - Tanah Lot is a striking rock formation off Bali’s coast, home to one of the island’s most popular and frequently visited temples. Perched on these rocks, the temple offers breathtaking views from various vantage points. At the base of the rocks, venomous black and white sea snakes are believed to protect the temple from malevolent spirits. The temple’s purpose is evident from the main temple building in the central area, dedicated to worshiping the sea god, Dewa Baruna or Bhatara Segara. The temple structure, with five tiers, serves as the medium for worship, while a three-tiered temple building in the northern part of the area is intended for honoring Dang Hyang Nirartha.
