- Kordopulova House - The Kordopulov House, also known as Kordopulov’s House, is a significant example of Bulgarian National Revival architecture located in Melnik, a town in southwestern Bulgaria. Constructed in 1754 for wine production, it was acquired by the affluent Greek merchant Manolis Kordopulos. This house, potentially the largest of its era and style, is situated in the eastern part of the town and features a ground floor with a wine cellar, a semi-basement for economic purposes, and a bay floor designed for living.
- The Melnik Pyramids - These extraordinary natural formations draw visitors from around the globe. It is believed that the limestone composing them is a product of erosion, with these forces continually reshaping their appearance.
These artistically carved rocks have taken on a variety of shapes and intricate details, resembling stone mushrooms, haystacks, minarets, alpine ridges and peaks, swords, obelisks, Egyptian pyramids, Gothic cathedrals, and more.
- Rozhen Monastery - The journey will continue to the nearby village of Rojen, where a delightful lunch and a glass of excellent local wine await. A brief visit to an ancient monastery, the third most significant in Bulgaria, will be included.
- Villa Melnik Winery - The final destination is Villa Melnik, one of Bulgaria’s premier wine cellars. A family member of the owner will provide a guided tour. After sampling their wines, there will be an opportunity to purchase some exceptional wine at a special price before returning to Sofia.
