An excellent day tour with thoughtful guides - This was an excellent day tour! A huge thank you to our wonderful guides Peter and Anthony, who made sure everyone had the best experience and shared just the right amount of info while keeping the spirits high throughout the day. With three options for the hike (Mt. Oberon, Mt. Bishop, and a walk through a rainforest), we weren't sure how the guides would handle different preferences within the group, but they managed our group of 10 exceptionally well. Most travellers wanted to hike Mt. Oberon (easier terrain for the most part, taller peak, more popular). This meant that they could only reach the start of the hike by taking a free shuttle bus, as other buses weren't allowed past a certain crossing that day. Our guides made sure they all got to the shuttle bus and provided clear and helpful instructions for their return. Afterwards, they took us to the starting point of the Mt. Bishop hike, which we had opted for due to a more interesting terrain and fewer crowds (and a 0.1 stars better rating on All Trails 🙂). As required, we messaged our guides once we reached the top, and they were already waiting for us in the car park when we got back. Since there were some delays with the shuttle bus and the rest of the group could not return to the base camp on time, the guides took us to Squeaky Beach earlier and recommended that we check out an additional lookout, which the group normally does not have time for. This was incredibly thoughtful of them and, indeed, a much better way for us to spend our time than waiting for the others in the car. We are very grateful. The Squeaky Beach was amazing too. To our (perhaps unwarranted) surprise, it really did squeak... On our way back, we made several stops to meet some wombats and wallabies. Our guides' enthusiasm was contagious, and we very much appreciated all the fun facts they shared. The only tiny detail that could make this awesome tour for wildlife lovers even more awesome is getting that iconic purple bus powered by electricity, not diesel. :) Still worth all 5 stars though!

Amazing squeak beach in Wilson promontory - I booked a six-hour whale watching tour on October 1st in Wilsons Promontory, but it was canceled due to strong winds. So I joined a one-day hiking and wildlife tour on October 5th instead. Our two guides were very professional and introduced the unique features of Wilsons Promontory along the way. Although the climb to Oberon Summit was quite challenging, the stunning view of the beach made it all worthwhile. Another unexpected highlight was Squeaky Beach — even though it wasn’t a sunny day, the white sand reflected like a mirror, which was amazing. The two guides worked hard to help us spot wombats and kangaroos. Unfortunately, today’s shuttle bus did not pick up us as scheduled, which affected our later schedule, so we had to shorten the wildlife viewing time and return to the city. Many thanks to both guides — I really appreciate their efforts. I hope to come back next time for the whale watching tour.

Stunning, well-paced, a bit of exertion but well worth it - Gary was really enthusiastic and informative! The trip was a bit far away but the views from Gippsland onwards up until the Prom were exhilarating 💫 There were many hikes / walks so we had to pick and choose, but Gary knew the ones allowing maximum coverage of the views and locations for optimal lookout plus keeping the timing and group mix in mind. At times it did feel a bit rushed, but given that Wilson’s Promontory is a large site, a day to tour it would not do it justice. Nevertheless I felt great going on this particular one-day trip with my partner and could not have asked for a better tour operator and guide 😊

Melbourne - Wilsons Promontory Day Tour - From the moment I met Gary our guide I knew I was in for a great day adventure. His passion for sharing and knowledge of the area made for an informed relaxed 2 hour drive into the Wilsons Promontory Wilderness. It was a long day filled with several highlights including the sighting and up close viewing of kangaroo, emu , wallaby and wombat in the wild. I can say although the weather was unpredictable the geographical wonder of the beaches and wilderness would still be worth the drive to this lesser known area close to Melbourne even if the animals are not in view on the day you travel. I guess our group got lucky Thank you Gary for a great day out !!

Escape to nature from Melbourne - A lovely day out. Unfortunately the weather was awful but our tour guide Gary was amazing and did his best to show us the sights and get us walking around in between the rain showers (of which there were many). Gary was friendly and knowledgeable. Squeaky Beach was a highlight for me. It really does squeak. Not a lot of wildlife out on such a wet day but we did see a wallaby with her joey. Also the rosellas at Tidal River are fairly used to humans and are quite happy to pose for some lovely photos!

A wonderful experience... - A wonderful experience but a day trip to the Prom just does not do justice as the drive there alone and back, physically exhausted us. By the time we came back home we had a massive migraine from the extremely bumpy and uncomfortable driving (small size of the van); the hustle and bustle of rushing to and from places was not enough exploring other fabulous places due to keeping within time limits and waiting for other tourists to keep up with the rest of the group as they were too slow. The people were great, no doubt, but what disturbed us more was the use of a small vehicle and an uncomfortable one where we were literally cramped up like sardines in a can. Next time, please use a larger vehicle and a comfortable one when taking tourists to long distances.
