A Night to Remember - What an unforgettable evening! Stephanie is so knowledgeable and made sure everything we had was within my wife’s dietary restrictions — while still being one of most delicious meals we’ve ever had. We started with some champagne by the cherry blossom-lined river, moved on to a fabulous sake tasting, followed by some lovely appetizers at a spot that seemed to be prized by locals, and finished up with a full dinner that could not have been more succulent. Throw in the great company and conversation, and it was just a marvelous evening, everything we had hoped for and more. Book this tour, you will NOT regret it!

Night time food tour - This was such a great tour. Stephanie is so knowledgeable about Japanese food and is wonderful at finding little hidden away gems. We walked into one spot which looked like a little bar and turned out to be a type of food court in a local neighborhood. We never would have thought to go there and it was such fun trying unique dishes in a local place. We went to a bar later in the evening where the owner distills his own gin and I had the best martini ever! So fun to converse with the bartender/owner about his unique drinks. We then went for yakatori. This was quite an event. Stephanie was able to tailor our tour to our specific tastes and is quite flexible.

Definitely the Best Food tour we have taken on any of our trips! - Wow! Talk about an innovative off the beat and path food and nite tour of Tokyo... this is unique and exceptional. Stephanie Haddad made it so much fun for our group on our recent visit we can't wait to do it all again. We loved the time at the Unknown Bar where the owner spent 30 minutes with us explaining his process for infusing ingredients like wasabi into incredible drinks. And the time we spent in the Yakatori restaurant was another great experience we could only have had with Stephanie as she has a vast network of specialty food and drink contacts throughout Nakameguro. It's also fun chatting with her along the way to learn more about life of an expat in Tokyo especially from someone so knowledgeable and is a true gourmand. We have taken many food and drink tours around the world but this was by far the best and most fun!

Great food, great company! - Stephanie was a fantastic guide! We truly felt like locals, visiting restaurants frequented by residents of Naka Meguro. Each restaurant was unique, and we ate our fill of sushi, yakitori, chocolate, and cocktails. If you’re going to Tokyo, book this early in your trip! Stephanie gives great tips on dining customs, and can also help recommend other places and restaurants you need to experience in Japan. If you’re on the fence, just book it. It was a lot of fun and we ate SO. MUCH. DELICIOUS. FOOD!

Excellent food tour, amazing company! - My family joined Stephanie of Japan Food Trips on a private food tour our first night in Japan. We had an amazing time exploring different foods in quaint, out-of-the-way places. The food was exceptional (and filling, even to my two teenage sons!) but what made the tour so fun was Stephanie. We talked and laughed the entire evening and had such a great time. Because the tour was private, it allowed for a much more personal experience. So happy we decided to book – the evening set the stage for ordering and eating throughout Japan. Highly recommend!

Favorite food tour in Tokyo! - We loved this tour! We always try to book a food tour whenever we travel to a new place and this one was a favorite by all. Stephanie did a great job including our 3 kids 10, 8, and 6 without taking away from a great food experience.

A Truly Wonderful Food Experience in Tokyo - If you want a fun and unique eating experience, contact Stephanie at Japan Food Trips. We started with a yakitori dinner at Iguchi. The chef was adorable, and we had almost every part of the chicken in delicious bites. We next went to a lovely chocolate tasting at Green Bean to Bar. We sampled chocolates from all around the world. We ended with sushi and sake. I honestly thought I detested Sake, but I realize that good Sake in Japan is actually quite good. Stephanie has an amazing fun personality. She taught us about Japanese culture, language and cuisine. This is not your low budget, group food tour. The tour is private and priced accordingly. If you want to splurge in Tokyo, and get out of the tourist zone to eat, take this tour.
