Unforgettable Horse Ride & Staff - AMAZING experience. Everyone who worked there was so incredibly kind. We were dropped at the wrong location and the family went out of there way to help us get to the activity and provided an incredible tour experience no matter the time we arrived. The horses and guides were great and the views and experience itself were unforgettable. I would recommend this activity to everyone and anyone visiting Santorini!

10/10 recommend! - We LOVED our experience with Santorini Horse Riding. The stables and horses were well cared for, the staff were extremely welcoming, and our guide was equally talented and knowledgeable with the horses. We loved Muhammad and Agapios! The black beach is breathtaking and the horses were super well trained to make for an enjoyable ride. I went on this excursion with a friend and neither of us had any experience riding. We had a great time and never felt uncomfortable on the horses!! Amazing pictures as well.

Amazing, loved it, 1000% would go again - Incredible experience! Guides were lovely and experienced, and we got to gallop along the beaches. One of the guides even took a video of us doing it! One of a kind experience, and we hope to return to Santorini to do this again someday.

The best experience, truly worth every second no matter the season. - This was the most wonderful experiences as a family. This is not a touristy experience at all, it feels like truly part of their family. Even with a chilly wind it was the best way to see the beach and coastline. The kids loved it, the staff and family environment at the stables is second to none. Safety brilliant, horses so well cared for and the guides a joy to spend the ride with (especially Mohammed!). After our ride as a family my daughter who is experienced was given the chance to go with Mohammed to gallop to her hearts content; away from the rest of the group to ensure the other horses didn’t get the same idea 🤣. She begged to go back the next day, so she did and they welcomed her with open arms. Greece and Santorini wouldn’t have been the same without this experience. Don’t forget to ask to stop off at their Uncles winery on the way home ☺️💖 🍷 for a true local family experience!

Returned to the Black Horse Pilgrims Hatch - Returned to the Black Horse. I recognise the young lady from our previous visit. She gave us a lovely welcome and served our drinks at the bar. I think they were rather short staffed because Brookelyn took our food order from the restaurant and served our well presented meals. It didn’t disappoint looked fantastic and tasted even better. Thanks again to the kitchen staff and Brookelyn for making us feel it was a real treat.

Relaxing and Rememberable - Mohammed (guide) was very knowledgeable about horses as well as the culture of the area. He was very kind and overall a great time. Jeanette and the gentleman who picked us up were all very hospitable throughout the entire experience. Would definitely recommend this tour for others traveling and looking for an excursion. The black sand beach was AMAZING!

Very Nice - Very beginner friendly and nice experience. The only thing I would recommend is the staff riding with guest be a little more informative about the island and the history.

Well cared for horses, a little too long to reach the beach - The journey to the beach was long, almost an hour, for only 15 minutes on the beach , and again almost an hour for the return. But good experience anyway, the horses were well cared for.

Underwhelming and unsafe - I wrote in my rider information that while I have extensive experience with horses my fiancé is a beginner. He was put on a horse that spooked and spun several times during the tour. Additionally, our read guide had to turn around and go back requiring me to supervise the situation. Eventually, a Vespa came up behind the horse, it spooked and almost spun my fiancé off. He then dismounted and said he was uncomfortable continuing. Since the tear guide had left we had to wait for the rear guide to rejoin us with a lead for my fiancé’s horse. We rode the rest of the way to the beach where we stood and waited for the rear guide to gallop his horse, leaving my finance’s horse not ponied and wiggling around anxiously, while the front guide smoked a cigarette. At no point did we ride on beach. We stood there for 10 minutes and then rode back to the barn. The entire experience was all around not enjoyable between the issues with the horse and not actually riding on the beach or being able to enjoy the view. I understand that horses are not cars and are therefore not entirely predictable but I was very clear that my fiancé was a beginner and the rear guide should never have left us, putting me in the position of being responsible for his safety. His horse was anxious (prancing and spooky) the entire ride. By the time my fiancé dismounted, I dismounted as well, our guide told us he was calling a driver for us. We thought when the rear guide came back that he was coming to take the horses back. When it became clear that was not the case and that going back was not really an option we decided the only way back was to continue. Furthermore, I have 30+ years experience around all types of horses. I have taught for years and broken many horses. Not once has one of my “beginner horses” spooked and spun multiple times in one ride without me promptly addressing the situation. The guide was in no position to handle the situation while ponying the two other riders. When our rear guide went to gallop and left my fiancé unclipped I requested the lead be reattached multiple times as the horse would not stand still and I was ignored. I request a refund after this experience and it was denied
