An excellent day - In all an excellent day. I hadn’t realised that the C T M tour tickets included access to all parts of Chatham Dockyards. Get there early and enjoy all the exhibits of the dockyards. Have lunch at the excellent on site restaurant. And join the Midwife tour with a very entertaining hostess. A must for all CTM fans and anyone looking for a good day out.

Great tour— well worth the money! - Heather gave us a terrific tour. She was extremely knowledgeable about the Call the Midwife series and pointed out many areas in the Chatham Dockyards where scenes from the series had been shot. The gallery at the end, which featured several indoor settings from the show as well as many original costumes, was also a special treat.

Interesting - Although I'm not a fan, my wife is and wanted to go, I found the tour interesting and informative. The guide brought the places to life.

Great experience for any fan of the programme - Really enjoyed our walking tour, our guide Irene was amazing, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It felt like all we needed to do, was jump on a couple of bikes and we'd be part of the cast. Really enjoyable day, iconic scenery and loved seeing the props and costumes at the end.

Great day out. - An enjoyable tour of several memorable settings from several series. Also, good value as the ticket includes access to The Chatham Maritime Museum which proved to be a good day out in its own right.

Underwhelming - Just very underwhelming, I have done quite a few of these Brit movie tours and it seemed rushed and like the guide couldn’t quite be bothered to walk us to the exact spot , just kept saying it’s over there, or up that way.

Not as expected - Underwhelmed with the experience as a whole. Lots of walking, stopping and taking about various episodes of the series. All of which, as fans, everyone in the group already knew. Looking at various photos in a book, again, being shots from the show, we had already seen. Basically pointing out buildings, railings and walkways that had featured on TV. Best bit was looking at props in the museum ( 15 minutes)

Be sure to book the official tour with the Call The Midwife guides in costume. - Make sure that if you book a tour like this one, that you get the actual official Call the Midwife tour tickets with the official guide. I had a wonderful woman who took me out to the Dockyard, but we didn’t see anything but the exterior of a few buildings from the show. You must get in and see the sets and have the guides who can tell you stories about the filming of the show. I have been looking forward to this tour for months and didn’t get to see anything that I had hoped to. It’s also quite a journey from London, so I really recommend that you be certain to get on one of the official tours when you book. I don’t know when I’ll be back to London, and this was to be the highlight of my trip.
