Must see - The Pablo Escobar tour was extremely interesting, educational, and emotional. Our guide, Alejandro, told the story of Escobar chronologically, with a lot of facts and historical context, while also sharing personal details about how those events and activities affected his own life and his family. That personal perspective added great depth and authenticity to the experience. Throughout the tour, Alejandro took excellent care of the group, was attentive, open to questions, and very dedicated to helping everyone understand the broader picture. The tour was engaging and well balanced, with a clear focus on presenting the reality of that period rather than glorifying it. What made this tour especially valuable was the different perspective it offered on Colombia and on how people lived during that time, seen through the eyes of the Colombian people themselves. Visiting memorials dedicated to the victims and hearing all the details shared during the tour was very powerful and meaningful. Highly recommended for everyone — even if you already know a lot about the events of that period. Seeing and hearing the story as told by Colombians is invaluable and gives a much deeper understanding of their history.

Bad experience and very... - Bad experience and very bad guide! Mateo was awful as a guide! From the start, there was very poor communication. There was an announcement to meet in 15 minutes and when we returned he just left. Instead of coming to help and support his guests on the tour, he just sends pictures from other areas of the street to go find it. Then, he was just a bad guide that didn't know the history of story. He had to keep looking basic thing up on his phone. As other guests mentioned comparisons to Argentina or other South America and have questions, he had no clue who historical figures were. The tour started late and the van was very hot the full time and he did not get to adjust for us. During the commentary, he had no passion with his stories or trying to teach us about the history - just go through the motions. The best part of the tour was when we went to the Escobar museum and had a new guide! That guide was very knowledgeable of the full history with interesting and fun stories. We really enjoyed that part. We really wish we had Alex as our guide and it would have been better! We have done a lot of Viator and other tours and this one was definitely one of the worst with Mateo!
