Overpriced tour not worth the time - I regret spending money on this “museum.” It felt more like a tourist trap than a historical site. The space is very small, with only a handful of photos and props—something you can walk through in under 30 minutes. The guide was fine, but then asked for an extra tip on top of an already inflated entry fee. We’ve done free walking tours in Medellín that were two to three times longer and provided far more value. What made it worse was the contradictory pricing: foreigners were given a “discount,” but then told to donate that exact amount inside one of the exhibits. On top of that, the guide claimed the museum is “not doing it for the money.” If that’s true, why is the entry price so high, and why are guides not even paid properly without leaning on visitors for tips? Finally, we were asked to write a review in exchange for a free poster, which in my opinion explains why the average rating here is much higher than the experience deserves. Overall, the visit felt exploitative, misleading, and in poor taste. Save your time and money.
