- Comuna13 - After a brief tour of Medellín, the group arrives at Comuna 13, a vibrant place rich in color, history, art, and transformation. The houses, streets, dwellings, ladders, and alleys have become a tourism icon in the city. As the tour progresses through its steps and alleys, visitors will learn how one of the country’s most violent communes has transformed into a symbol of change, hope, and art. They will explore the graffiti and interpret each piece individually, delving into their stories.
Next, the tour continues to the largest electric stairs in Latin America, where participants can appreciate the art, rhythm, and movement that define this community. A few meters higher, they will explore Antioquia’s gastronomy by enjoying a Mango biche cream (Paleta), a sector emblem for its unique, delightful, and fun flavor combinations.
- Escaleras Electricas De La Comuna 13 - As the journey continues through history and life, the group reaches a viewpoint, an ideal spot for photos, and enjoys a dance show that showcases the rhythm, passion, and personality of the young people in this wonderful commune.
A few steps further, visitors can relax while listening to artists who create freestyle songs based on the names and destinations of the tourists. This moment of relaxation, fun, and art will make everyone feel the unique vibe of the commune.
- San Javier - The tour reaches the final part of the commune’s tourist route, beginning the descent with two last strategic stops. The first stop is the coffee museum, where visitors will learn about the process, history, and types of coffee, while enjoying a coffee prepared with a pressing technique that enhances its flavor.
The last stop is at the “Neon House,” a spectacular place filled with light, color, and art. When its doors close, it begins to shine, sparking the imagination.
Finally, the group returns to the vehicle to head back to the starting point, but not before enjoying a final gastronomic experience with a typical Antioquia empanadita, a fried corn product stuffed with meat and potatoes.
