Experiencing the Culture of Comuna 13 - One of my favorite guided tours ever. Our guide Teo was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the city of Medellin and Comuna 13 and made us feel very welcome. Instead of a traditional tour where everything felt like it was off a script, it felt like we were able to get a real look at the city and see not only its history, but the current urbanization and the direction Comuna 13 is going. Overall could not recommend more highly if you are looking for a way to walk the streets and learn about the history and culture of Comuna 13 and Medellin.

Love this place! - Take this tour with Carilyn. She is an excellent person who is clearly well respected in the community and has in depth knowledge that she will share with you along the way. You will meet local people and have mango ice cream. You will experience cool "rinconcitos" that you would have passed had you traversed this territory alone. Normally I don't like tours as I like to explore places solo (and try to blend in!), but on this day I was the only person in group so it was more intimate. I like the Monday timezone at 5pm since it seems to be cooler temperature and less people. Also good for the sunset vibes! I suspect there are crowds on the weekends which I try to avoid. This experience was unique and I am really glad I had Carilyn by my side to show me around. She is a gem. The place is cool. You will have a great time!

Amazing to see at sunset/night time! - I highly recommend Carilyn as your tour guide! She walked us throughout the labyrinth that is Comuna Trece with ease, as she explained the background, intent, and meaning behind many of the works of art. We took the 5pm tour to avoid the heat of the day, which was fortuitous because we were able to see the art during “golden hour” (sunset lighting) and then we got to see the city lights once the sun went down!

Good tour / communication with the client prior to the visit to improve - I really liked the guided tour with Mariana. He was and continues to be a resident of commune 13 and that gives a framework of authenticity to the stories he tells. If I have to make a complaint, it is the "very amateur" in terms of organization since I made the reservation Thursday afternoon to visit on Friday at 2:00 p.m. I received confirmation from Tripadvisor immediately but when I arrived at the indicated meeting place, there was no one and it turned out that the meeting place was on the other side in the middle of the competition and without any markings that would identify the company with which I had booked. For the rest, Mariana, who by the way is not the one who handles the reservation issue, has been very professional and fulfilled what was promised even a little more since we stayed afterwards to enjoy the "best michelada in commune 13". Apart from the start which was laborious, I recommend this tour.

TERRIFYING experience in Medellin. Abuser guide!! I do not recommend it at all!!! - HORROR Experience!Very abusive and dangerous guide!!I travel alone and felt extremely uncomfortable throughout the tour. The guide was most rude, high-spirited and abusive! Start to finish asking me for money. He didn't explain anything to me on the tour, he was smoking marijuana and cannabis beer. I went to eat and aggressively told me that he would leave me alone eating and that I didn’t pay him anything to eat, that I was a bad person and that he couldn’t because he was paid the minimum of the tour and he wouldn’t spend it. He yelled at me in front of people and that I made him embarrassed not to pay anything to eat, even if it was potatoes or a beer he said. Then he told me that he either grabbed the wave and I made him feel good or I wouldn’t get out of there alive. He walked away from me repeatedly to talk to a guy. Something they were planning because they both looked at me so much. He wanted to take me down a dark road and I didn't want to. Then he got drunk and told me he liked men and women, to kiss him by grabbing my face and trying to touch me. I ran down the street and he kept threatening me that he was going to die there and blackmailing me and laughing that he wouldn't send me the pictures he took of me for my report. And I want my pictures! He also wanted to get in my cab so that I would pay for it and threatened me again to tip him that's what he earned. Not with the tour, which he didn't like that job. That he knew where I lived and that I would go. It is a real shame and a danger that this application has put me in danger and allowed me to hire someone like that. I felt very harassed and abused. I intend to report this situation to the police. Worst water experience in my entire life. I leave a photo of this "guide" for SAFETY to tourists and especially girls traveling alone.

I arrived at the meeting... - I arrived at the meeting place only to find out nobody was there. No one tried to contact me to find out where I am, and nowhere on the email could I find a phone number I could call. I ended up missing the tour. Shame!

Don't trust this clown! - Total scam - reserved the tour an hour ahead of time, just before the tour is set to begin I’m told they will cancel because they needed minimum 2 guests and I was the only one who reserved. I offered to pay double since I was already in my Uber headed there and at least I wouldn’t waste my afternoon, but seems that was just an excuse because his next reason was that no guides were available. The host was very rude, it seems they are only prepared to honor their reservations when it suits them so… you can take your chances but don’t trust that a tour is really available even if the times are free to book. He has also not given a refund. I’m sure they’ll have another story to tell but - this was laughably incompetent. If Mateo had been respectful and apologized they could have found a way to resolve the situation amicably, but his attitude was really appalling. Since my Uber had almost arrived by the time they cancelled I went anyways - ended up meeting a wonderful guide from “Colombian Ambassadorsl” I Highly recommend you search for their tour, or even go alone, but avoid these clowns unless you want to waste your time!

Do not buy!! Scam!overpriced ! - TERRIBLE!!!!Overpriced! I booked a tour for my family and I (4 of us) on November 11th at 9:00AM. First of all we never really had clear instructions on how to get there, when the Uber picked us up he said the address was wrong from the one they gave us as a meeting point. When we got there we were so excited and the guide never showed up, we tried finding him and asking and we met other people with the same issue. Since it was our last day in Medellin we decided not to sweat it and just pay for another tour. The tour we got was 3rimes less the price and exactly the same, we got to see breakdancing, Colombian trova and reggaeton. That was an amazing experience. No one ever reached out to me after this and I never received a refund either. I was very upset and dissatisfied. Would never book here again.
