A Journey I Didn’t Know I Needed - What an experience! There’s nothing like discovering your own country through the eyes of someone who truly lives it. No amount of imagination compares to hearing the real stories—raw, powerful, and full of truth. Our country is incredibly rich in culture, and its people are unbelievably resilient. The energy is vibrant, the commerce is wild, and the kindness of the people is something you feel instantly. A huge thank you to Cristian P for such an amazing tour—you’re truly exceptional! P.S. Great to get history, culture and food to see Comuna 13 in afternoon - great English tour with Jan! - My tour was great. Highly recommend. I needed an English speaking guide and Jan was fantastic. He grew up in the neighborhood and provided great perspective and insight into the history and transformation of the neighborhood. You get coffee, street art, history, street treats and a breakdance performance. I came for the history and culture but actually appreciated the boost from the coffee and cold treat with the walking. Thoroughly recommend Jan and this group.

Fantastic day - We had a fantastic day with Christian exploring Communa 13. The fact that he grew up in the neighborhood and could share personal stories and take us "off the beaten track" (as well as to the tourist spots) was very special.

Thank you for your hospitality Commune 13! - Excellent tour of commune 13 with Yonathan de AIC, definitely the best way to know commune 13 of Medellin and know and recognize its history of tenacity, when walking through the streets you see that "union makes strength", super recommended!!

Excellent Tour - We had the tour with Cindy, a local and a love of person. We loved how he told us all the stories and gave a little of his presepticity to the narrative. It took us around places not so crowded by tourists, so it made the tour feel a little more special. Cindy even showed us her street where she lives! We were given a taste of mango biche ice cream that was super rich for the heat. All the experiences were amazing!

Comuna 13 is a must - If you want to get a true understanding of life in Colombia and Comuna 13 then you have to use this tour group. Our tour guide Christian lives in Comuna 13 and he was fabulous! Make sure he takes you in the new gallery. Also ask him to show you The Worm's gallery. His pieces are fabulous and so affordable.

A must when visiting Comuna 13 - Great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Made everyone feel confortable and made sure we all had time to take photos . Make sure to visit Comuna 13 with a guide otherwise you will be missing out the local perspective and how the neighborhood has trasformed theirs lives. Ask for Thomas.

Good pace and very educational. - We had a lovely day with Juan and our walking group through comuna 13. The tour was well prepared and staged so we got to see lots and learn much about the history and culture of the area. Beware though that comuna 13 can get CRAZY busy in high season. I advise you book an early tour or during the week. Otherwise the streets are heaving with tourists and it's hard to move around. Not at all unsafe or uncomfortable, but a better experience with a little more breathing room.
