The places we visited were wonderful. However the two tour guides provided us almost no meaningful information except a handful of superficial facts. Our guides main points were about the income levels and how poor people don’t want to move to nicer neighborhoods which was a perfectly absurd generalization. He talked a lot about himself which might have been interesting if he could have connected his life to something relevant about Medellin. I contrast today’s tour with one I had yesterday. That tour guide was full of love for her topics. She provided stories, historical context and references to the arts. Neither of your tour guides seemed very knowledgeable or inspired. Both were on their phones a lot. I would have learned more by taking a taxi and speaking with people at the Site. A missed opportunity. I am being honest with you s because anyone who knows about day tours will probably feel as I did.
