3 days 2 nights - highly recommend! - We went on the 3 day trek and really liked it. The trek was steep up and down and a bit challenging at times but our guides were very accommodating and we took a lot of breaks. We saw at least 8 orangutans and a lot of monkeys. Special thanks to Ian, Mantu, Rijal and the rest of the guides for showing us a good time🙌

Fantastic! - What a great jungle trekking! Nang Nang and Didi were very professional, but also very funny! She entertained us well with all different jungle games (no spoilers). We were also able to spot a lot of wildlife in the 3 days, and ate fantastic food. We will never forget this trip 🙉.

Highly recommended adventure! - Our guides Nang Nang and Daddy were very funny, we saw orangutans every day, almost every hour and played funny games. The food was super delicious, the fresh fruit was amazing. Mosquitoes were few and far between in our time, but of course it is always advisable to protect yourself with spray. Sometimes the tour was very exhausting because of the climate and the steep mountains, we sweated a lot but it was all worth it. The whole organization, especially by organizer Geo worked out great. We highly recommend the 3-day tour.

Fantastic Jungle Yrek - Everything about this tour was fantastic… working with Suria to book it, being greeted by the super friendly Geo upon arrival. I can’t imagine a better guide than Nang-Nang. Incredibly talented guide and fun to spend time in the evening, and Hendrick hosting us in the camp each night. The food, especially the fruit, was delicious. Now let’s talk the animals. We saw 10 orangutans, including the alpha male (often elusive) and a few babies, 9 Siamang, countless Thomas monkey and macaque, 2 hornbills, and some wild boar. Treks were very challenging, but well worth seeing my favorite animals in their natural habitat. The jungle taxi ride back was the perfect ending to an amazing three days in the Sumatran jungle. Absolutely recommend the jungle trek and booking with Monkey Business. You won’t go wrong.

One of the best trips... - One of the best trips I’ve had! Kian an Dedi were really friendly and attentive—made sure we make the most of our trip! Suria too—thanks for the accommodation! They are very knowledgeable and fun! Learned a lot and had a great time! Glad to have booked Monkey Business. The best thing about Monkey Business is that it is owned by locals. So if you want to support the locals, please book them! Our guides speak good English and if you will indulge, they have some nice stories and funny jokes to share. The food was great! Tropical fruits are the best! Definitely going back!

Serious Monkey Business - I enjoyed a lot the jungle trek. We had a lot of fun with the team, who guided us and helped us find and watch monkeys. They were funny and very helpful and a great company. Also the food they prepared was top notch. And of course we saw orangutans in the wild! And it all ended with rafting through the jungle back to the base. Huge shoutout to our guides and cook Nang-Nang, Antonio, and Rizki!!

An amazingly beautiful and delicious local trek in the jungle! - What an incredible experience! I’m a 24-year-old solo traveler from Belgium, currently exploring Southeast Asia, and I’m so happy I decided to come to Sumatra for this orangutan trekking adventure deep in the jungle. First of all, the food — it’s on another level. Getting such delicious, fresh meals right in the middle of the jungle felt unreal. Every meal was a treat and definitely exceeded my expectations. Our guide was fantastic: super helpful, informative, and genuinely funny, which made the whole trek even more enjoyable. We spotted so many different species of monkeys, and of course, plenty of orangutans — watching them move freely through the jungle was just magical. And the rafting back was such a fun and exciting way to end the adventure! But what really makes Monkey Business special is that it’s fully owned and run by locals. Unlike some of the bigger, foreign-run companies, here you can feel the difference: the warmth, the pride, and the extra care they put into every detail. The food is better, the experience feels more authentic, and you know your money is supporting the local community directly. That’s exactly why I chose them, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. If you’re looking for a real adventure that also supports local people and respects the jungle and its wildlife — this is the one. Truly, what a great adventure — one I’ll never forget!
