Spectacular visit - much more than Star Wars! - I had a one week solo tour with Tarek Maali as my guide. It was not intended as a Star Wars tour as I was doing research for a novel, but we checked out a couple of locations in Djerba and the Ksar in Medenine. My main focus was on desert farming and water management systems. Tarek was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. We explored cisterns, visited the Arid Institute, went down a terracotta mine and visited a spectacular salt flat at sunset. The absolute highlights of the trip for me was a night camping in the Sahara and a tour of the three tier oasis farm at Gábes. I also recommend experiencing the ferry from Djerba to the mainland but try to avoid peak traffic or plan for a long wait. Tarek knew people everywhere we went and could talk at length about history, folk law, farming systems and of course Star Wars location. It was a spectacular visit that I will repeat.

Star Wars and the Sahara on a tour - A two-day tour over one night. We visited Anakin's house and Luke's house in Star Wars, and at Luke's house we also got to experience blue milk. In the Sahara, we stayed in tents and the stars looked beautiful. Optional quad bikes and camels are also recommended for an extra fee, as they allow you to enjoy the desert. The couscous for the meal was delicious, soaked with flavor, and the guide was very helpful throughout. I'm very satisfied.

Unforgettable experience with Tarek guide - During our holiday in Tunisia we were lucky enough to be accompanied by Tarek, a truly exceptional guide. From the first moment he was kind, helpful and very attentive, always ready to answer our curiosity and make us feel at ease. Thanks to Tarek we have not only visited places but we have experienced Tunisia getting in touch with its traditions and its truest soul. I highly recommend this guide to those who want an authentic experience, rich in culture and humanity.

in the world of Star Wars with Tarek - Tarek, great tour guide for Tunisia. It made me discover the most fantastic passages of my cult sci-fi film “star wars”. I saw Tatooine again. Thanks to Tarek I was immersed in the imagery of the film. Tour guide who speaks good Italian. explains the places carefully and always with a fantastic kindness. A man who does his job well. 10 and praise Tarek

Compact location and desert tour - It was a reasonably priced and fun tour, combining filming locations at Anakin's House and Luke's House in Star Wars with Sahara Camping. The couscous in the restaurant was delicious and the guide was very kind throughout.

An Unforgettable Journey Through Sahara - We had an excellent experience with our tour guide - Meftah. He showed us Djerba, Tataouine, and the Sahara Desert, and every part of the journey was perfectly organized. He is a very skilled and safe driver, speaks excellent English, and was always polite and attentive to our needs. He made sure to include breaks at beautiful landscape viewpoints, which made the experience even more special. We felt comfortable, well taken care of, and truly enjoyed discovering Tunisia with him. Highly recommended.

Excursion Ksar Guilane - Great experience with Tarek who took us on an excursion to Ksar Guilane. Tarek picked us up at our accommodation then accompanied us all day. He is super friendly and explains the steps of the excursion. I recommend Tarek!

The best tour experience we have ever had - It is hard to put into words how we feel about our adventure in Tunisia. If we’re honest, we didn’t really know much about the country and decided to go because we wanted to see the Star Wars locations (as avid fans). We got SO MUCH more than we bargained for, the landscapes, the people, the FOOD it was all spectacular. It was made all more special by our guide Tarek, and we feel so blessed to have had him show us round his country. He is very knowledgeable on Tunisia culture/history, always positive, very welcoming, and incredibly kind. He truly is a great ambassador for the country. Indeed, when we encountered some other travellers on our way he went out of his way to help organise a local guide for their visit with no benefit to himself, but just to enhance their time in Tunisia. From the street food in Kairoun, watching the sunset at the Lars homestead, the culture of Chenini, the scale of El Jem’s amphitheatre, and much much more this is a trip we will never forget. We took a chance on Tatooine tours, and we suggest you do the same.
