Wonderful! - Paola’s class was wonderful. In addition to sharing her recipes, she gave us a history of the area and the impact of food in the area. We learned about trade routes going back to the 1700s. We learned about the different kinds of food that can be grown there and how they are incorporated into local recipes. I highly recommend her class.

Learned so much about cooking and ingredients - We did the Gems of Mexico cooking class on 12/22 and it was the highlight of our vacation. Paola taught us so much not only about how to prepare the meals but also about where the ingredients come from and how they are produced. I never know how many ways a tortilla can be used and how difficult it is to produce real vanilla. Next time we are in Mazatlan, we'll definitely pick another class from Tomatl.

Amazing experience - We previously went on a food tour with Paola and it was an incredible experience. Attended a cooking class which was in her home. The culinary knowledge of this woman is unbelievable. We cooked and prepared 4 different kinds of tacos from 4 different regions of Mexico. All were incredibly tasty. We learned about all the different kinds of peppers and beans and the preparation of each. My wife doesn’t really like Mexican food but this changed her perspective. If you like Mexican cuisine, don’t miss out on this culinary experience. She is a born and raised Mazatlander and really takes pride in what she does. Don’t miss out.

A must when visiting Mazatlan! - A cooking class that was so much more! Not only did we learn how to make authentic Mexican tacos, we also learned about the culture, food, geography, and people of Mazatlan. Definitely will be having more adventures with Paola whenever we are in Mazatlan.

You have to take this Cooking Class! - I participated in Paola Osuna’s Day of the Dead/Dia de Los Muertos cooking class November 1st with a group of others. Paola is a wealth of knowledge & information, both for Mazatlan locally & for Mexico in general. She helped me more deeply understand the cultural significance of this important observance and all of the different elements that are part of this yearly celebration for Mexicans. I also learned how to & actually made yummy savoury as well as sweet tamales. Paola instructed us on the secret to making perfect Mexican rice that we enjoyed covered with her amazing mole! What a day! Thank you Paola!

It’s the best souvenir to take home culinary treats we can share with out friends! - We had a lot of fun in our cooking class and learned about the wide variety of cultures and cuisines of México. Our class was focused on local Mazatlan specialties, which were well explained and presented with ingredients that we can get back home as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would return for another class anytime, if we were back in town.
