Within the walls of the mosque, stands a majestically beautiful tree whose roots date back as far as the 1850s. The mosque is also the resting place of Jamal Shah (a pir from India), who lies in a marble tomb - China Town - One of the most culturally rich places in Mauritius is the China Town. Spreading over 500 metres of the Royal Road of Port Louis, the ChinaTown might not be as big as in other countries but it still does have a charm unique to it. Walk along the road, visit the numerous shops selling splendid items originated from Chinese culture and have a delicious Chinese dish at any of the amazing restaurants present. - Citadel Fort Adelaide - Constructed during the start of the 19th century, Fort Adelaide or Citadel as it is more commonly known, stands watch atop a hill overseeing the beautiful town of Port Louis. Constructed for the protection of the island from potential invaders as well as against any local uprising, Fort Adelaide is one of the best preserved forts on the island and offers a splendid panoramic view of Port Louis nestled at the foot of the Port Louis Moka range. - Tien Tan Hall - Tien Tan Pagoda is considered one of the most beautiful pagoda of Mauritius and is found on the slope of the Signal mountain. Constructed around the 1960s, the pagoda stands in a secluded and calm area of Port Louis city. It is frequently visited by Mauritians of Chinese origins and several tourists looking for some tranquility from the usual hustle and bustle in Mauritius. - Marie Reine de la Paix - Marie Reine de la Paix is a church in the open air providing a beautiful panoramic view of Port Louis. Lined with a plethora of shops, this location is the perfect place to satisfy anyone’s shopping frenzy. Ranging from international luxury brands to local artisans, everything you might ever imagine is available here - Albion Lighthouse - Located on the west coast of Mauritius, the lighthouse of Albion is an extremely popular destination amongst many tourists as well as locals. Although the lighthouse itself is not open to the public, it is still worthwhile to feast your eyes on one of the rare lighthouses on the island. Several meters after the lighthouse, you will find a viewpoint over the sea to the left of Mauritius. Watch calmly as the strong waves hit the rocks and sprinkle fine drops of water all over the place.
