Please do not park in the Mala Boat Ramp lot—it’s reserved for resident trucks and trailers. Look for the “Jesus Coming Soon” sign on Front St and walk toward the water. Uber/Lyft recommended. Maui Bus stop at Cannery Mall is an 8–10 min walk.

We will be back! - We have been coming to Maui to spend time with the whales for five years and have done everything from kayaks to zodiacs to catamarans. We found Maui Ocean Adventures from a recommendation of a local bartender. We did two tours with them while we were there. Emma is knowledgeable as most tour operators are but her passion cannot be compared. She treats every minute as a gift that the whales have given to us. She even helped me with my GoPro so I could capture the most amazing video of a mom showing off her new little girl. I already told Emma our dates of when we will be back next year!

Highly recommend! - This was such an amazing experience! We were able to see so many whales and the staff were so kowledgeable and interactive! Seriously one of my favorite experiences! Plus they are woman own, icing on the cake!

Wonderful whale watch! - This was the most amazing whale watch trip that we've ever done! Emma and Danielle were extremely knowledgeable and friendly!! The tour started and a baby whale was breaching within minutes- mom wasn't far away. The sightings continued throughout the tour. It was amazing!!

Highly recommended this trip! - The trip was fantastic! Small boat and incredible crew. The only tough part was our young kids needing a bathroom and there aren’t any on the boat. Other than that it was amazing. We saw so many whales.

Fantastic! - We were a little concerned that we wouldn’t see much activity because it’s rather late in the season for whale watching but boy did we ever! So exciting to see the whales breaching out of the water. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The boat captain was great and both were very entertaining. I would definitely do this again.

Best whales - The captain Lashona and the guide Reese were incredible! They shared a lot of information about the humpback whales including the competitive mating habits and migration patterns. The company is amazingly safe with customers as well as protecting the whales by keeping a safe distance. We were comfortable during the trip and the captain turned the boat at times so all could see the whales. Our guide made sure everyone on board could hear her speak and was very informative and entertaining. They know their whales facts!
We saw 1 female either approx 10 males. The female breached at least 15 times and waved her fin more than that. The males were slapping tales and very visible.
I would highly recommend this whales tour and will definitely go again on a future trip. Of note. We did the 4pm tour and was a bit rocky for my sensitive son. In future I would plan an earlier day trip, for him, so not so many waves, but for myself was perfect in every way!

Worth every penny for memories that will last a lifetime. - I had a such a magical experience on this tour! I have never seen whales before and I am so glad I chose this tour and location as my first one! I was absolutely blown away with all the close encounters we had. We must have seen 10+ whales. The crew is also very informative and I learned a ton! I could not recommend this tour more.

Magical Day - When we got to Maui it was the tail end of whale season, but we kept seeing them in the distance. We decided to do this tour because for one it was on the west side and the other reason was it was a small family run business. We could not be more delighted with the tour. The captain and crew (all of two people) were amazing. So enthusiastic and into it. The boat itself was nice and not crowded at all. They didn’t pack it full. It was the perfect amount of people for an enjoyable time. I will 100% go back to this company next time I’m in Maui. I have lived in Lahaina and been on many whale watching boats, this one was the best. We got the best whale and dolphin show. Pure magic

Perfect boat for whale watching! - We had an amazing whale watch with Captain Chrissy and Emma. The boat is fast and able to get out to the whales quickly. The size of the boat and how low it is to the water allows you to have a great view of the whales. This trip they swam under the boat several times and because you are so low to the water it was so easy to see them. I highly suggest taking Maui Ocean Adventures for your next trip!
