Whale-watching on Maui - We sat in the bow of the lower level and would recommend that location for visibility. Saw lots of whales swimming, jumping, and hitting the water with their tales. It was very interesting.

Wanna See a Whale Up Close? - Free drinks and snacks were a plus. Captain was very knowledgeable of the local whale population and characteristics.

A great whale watching... - A great whale watching experience for my wife and I. The captian and crew were great with lots of information regarding the whales in the Maui Basin.

Not What We Expected - My booking said whale watching on the Malolo, which from what I found on reviews had a capacity of 66 and was praised for the feeling of personalized tour. Comments were positive, and I liked the picture of the size of the boat on the website. We ended up on the Quicksilver which was much larger with over twice as many people. It felt crowded and was difficult to see over and around people. I wanted a steady boat with a smaller group so I could see the whales. Not what I thought it would be.

Bait and switch - The ad says maximum 15 people but we probably had 100 people on the boat. It is not the same catamaran that is advertised in the photos. Definitely bait and switch

Disappointed, not the boat I booked! - I booked the Malolo a high speed catamaran as described and pictured when I booked the tour, but when we arrived we were told to board a different boat, a larger passenger double decker boat. The crew was very nice and the whale watching was great but the experience was not what was described. There were a few other groups with us that booked the Malolo. Don’t promise what you can’t deliver. I never received an email after the booking if the boat and location changed. Very disappointed. This was our last night on Maui.

Bait & Switch - We booked our sunset whale watching on catamaran Malolo. When we got to check in the guys laughed at us and said no catamaran and everyone is piling on a big boat. Very frustrating as we didn’t want to be on a big boat packed in with a bunch of people. We specifically booked because it was a catamaran with a smaller max capacity. Even one of the workers laughed and said it is kind of “Bait & Switch”!!!

Not on a catamaran! - The listing says in a catamaran BUT they then push you on a diesel powered (smelly) big boat. Deceptively foolish
