Incredible Maui Snorkel Trip - This was our 2nd time with Magic Merman and it was amazing. The crew was super knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. They took us to spots where we saw beautiful fish, sharks, turtles and rays. It was whale season and we were fortunate to get some great encounters and breaches. The small group limit makes for a much more intimate and personalized experience. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

My favorite snorkeling adventure yet. - Just a fantastic experience. Very friendly staff (owners) on the beach. I though the boat was going to be a bit small compared to other trips I have taken, but it was big enough, and made us a bit more nimble for whale watching. Shasta was out guide, and was so knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about the whales and the fish we saw. Well worth the cost.

Experience was lovely.... - Experience was lovely. Shasta was a great guide. We saw sea turtles and had an amazing time. I'd recommend this tour for anyone interested in snorkeling in Maui.

Best snorkel crew! - The crew was great. Sasha got in the water with us and knew all the right places to look for sea life. We have snorkeled many times but this was the best experience by far!!

Best guided trip of many in Maui and other places - Spectacular! We enthusiastically recommend this trip! Shasta and the boats captain were the perfect hosts and their knowledge of the area was fantastic. I was nervous about boarding the boat because I have tricky knees--- Austin (owner put me right at ease) I have been on several guided snorkle trips and this was the best! I saw 15 turtles, and eel, white tip reef shark, puffer fish, rays and a variety of fish. Not fancy, but perfect!

Best snorkel experience! - I’ve snorkeled lots of places over the years including Maui multiple times, and this was my best snorkel day ever! My son thinks he doesn’t love snorkeling but Derrick and Malaki made it fun and he had a great time at both snorkel spots - which were excellent! We learned a ton about the ocean, we saw whales breach, a pod of spinner dolphins, saw a turtle cleaning station, spotted eagle rays, eels, octopus, etc. Derrick learned everyone’s name right off the bat and made sure to point out fish we would have missed on our own, swimming down multiple times to point things out for the group. It really was the perfect day and a wonderful small operation. The banana bread, fruit and wraps were delicious too and I was grateful there was a vegetarian option.

Magic Merman-outstanding! - Our families‘s fourth trip with Magic Merman. Outstanding whale watching. Could not ask for more with snorkeling. Excellent choice of spots and lots of help for old folks with limited ability. They are the best!

Fantastic experience for first timers - My 20 year old daughter and I did our first snorkel with Shasta and Dillon and Magic Merman Charters. It was just GREAT. They gave us clear instructions for getting on and off the boats, using snorkel gear, and focused on safety! We stopped to watch at least 6 whales and Shasta was so educational about their patterns and behaviors. Breakfast was great (banana bread and fruit), sodas and water, and really tasty wraps for lunch. Shasta was in the water with us and pointed out things to see as we snorkeled. It was also comforting for we first timers to listen to her and follow her around while the more experienced snorkelers did their thing. We had some motion sickness in our crew, and Shasta had tricks to help him feel better. Just a very personal, safe, educational and fun experience! Probably the best day of our Maui week. I would recommend Magic Merman 100%!

Best day of our trip! - This was the perfect mix of activities and the best crew. They helped with motion sickness, catered to a child that didn’t snorkel, taught us all about ocean life, and the food was delicious! We enjoyed every minute of it.
