Come join us for a night snorkel where a plethora of unique marine life comes to life during the night hours. Safety always being our top priority, we will only go in small groups of 6 or less and each snorkeler will be fully fitted with high end dive lights, life preserver, high end masks, light beaker, and all other equipment needed for this. Other than the sun being down what makes this experience so special is the array of totally unique marine life that comes out to play after sunset, including lobsters, octopus, and night time critters that love to say hi. The snorkel is extremely safe for ages 16+. Please note, you must be able to swim in order to do this activity!
The tour consists of different warm hue lights our guide will adjust during the tour to attract turtles, rays, and more. Again, each of you will have a dive light, a red colored beaker attached to you for further safety precautions, and our guide will have one \

Don't miss this unique experience! - Everything the reviews say is true - this is a must-do activity! I am the type of person who is terrified of adventures like this, but for some reason I seek them out and do them no matter how anxious I am (it helped that my husband was very excited about it). I just don't like to let fear cause me to miss unique opportunities. The tour description on their site lays everything out without missing any details, and I'm glad that we were able to support an independent company like Zephyr.
We had Robbie as our guide and he was fantastic. He took us out to the turtle cave spot, made sure no one got left behind at any point, and I felt safe even after the sun went down and things got dark. He took quality photo and video, and AirDropped them all to us at the end of the tour for what we considered to be a very fair price. We saw maybe 10-11 turtles! His reef shark friend was not home, so we did not get to see it. We did get to touch and hold the starfish and red sea urchins, etc.
Things to note:
- If you're a wuss about cold like I am, I highly recommend bringing a full-coverage wetsuit. After the sun went down, I still got cold even with it on, but I didn't worry about mysterious ocean things touching my body like I normally do when I snorkel.
- The swim was not too far (about 1/4 mile), but water got choppy around the reef rocks, so they aren't lying when they say you should be able to swim moderately well.
- Flash lights are provided, and you will wear a blue light on your life jacket so the guide can make sure everyone is present - very helpful.
Thank you to Robbie and team for a great experience, and we will be sure to book more tours with Zephyr when we get back to Maui in another year or so!

Great Snorkel Adventure - Super fun experience! Robbie was a great guide and super easy to follow. We were able to see turtles, lobster, star fish, & so much more. So worth a trip!

Wild night out! Serious turtle action, great guide. Must do for the adventurous! - Robbie was an excellent guide. Super knowledgeable. Also very patient and attentive to everyone, lucky to have him out there with you if you are a beginner.
Had a great experience, gained a new perspective of the ocean after dark and got some serious turtle action!
Quality equipment, service was above and beyond. Highly reccomend adding the pictures to your experience. The fee is more tha reasonable and they are great quality!
Thanks for a trip I will never forget!

Magic was just a short swim away - What an amazing experience! Right off shore and filled with magic. Robbie is an amazing guide.... Our group had a mix of experienced and inexperienced snorkelers and he did an amazing job keeping everyone together, safe, and having an amazing educational time 10/10 would do again!

Great tour! - Robbie took us out tonight at sunset it was very safe and it was the best snoekeling tour I've been on. It was very relaxing and we saw tons of turtles. He went above and beyond to make us feel safe and enjoy our time. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful evening activity - Instructor Robbie was awesome. I was a it anxious in the beginning and thought about sitting out while my wife. He assured me and had me tow along on the board until I relaxed and got comfortable. I did and then really got to enjoy the excursion. Unfortunately we didn't see a lot of turtles, but we did see one and it swam beside us for quite awhile. Also spotted an eagle ray and shark. The equipment worked really well and the setting was awesome. Really appreciated Robbie patience and safety first attitude. Fantastic evening out!

Beautiful evening excursion! Great guide, experience and pictures! - The experience was super fun! Sunset was gorgeous as we snorkeled! We saw turtles and a shark and Robbie gathered some pencil urchins and pincushion starfish for us to hold! As mentioned in another review….we started a bit before sunset and got out as it was dark - but it was actually perfect!! We also did this experience 2 years ago (and loved it) and it was darker - but the lights attracted jellyfish. I think starting a little earlier was perfect! We saw more and thoroughly enjoyed watching the turtles come up for air with a stunning sunset! Robbie was an awesome guide - he totally followed the shark for us getting a cool video!! Pics were awesome!! Highly recommend!!!

It was a pleasure - Only two of us on the day we did the night snorkeling, it felt like a private snorkeling lesson/experience.
The night tour started about 60 mins before sunset, and ended(back to shore) when the last light out with stars up in the sky. The swim level is ok, but definitely you need to know swiming to get to the spot.
Robbie was our local guide. It's a great fun watching him to dive down and pick up urchins from the deep sea floor.
Since we are the only party in the water. Everything so quiet and active. We saw 3 turtle, lots of fish(big Trumpetfish and blue jack schools was very cool).
We also had couple informative discussios regarding gear and location on the way back. We had some great DIY trip the next couple days.

So many turtles! - Really fun trip, Robbie was chill and awesome and made sure everyone was able to see all the cool creatures. This is definitely a tour for folks who are a little more comfortable with swimming and snorkeling, but it was very easy for someone who has done this before.
