The Calypso leaves from Maââ¬â¢alaea Harbor, and after you are welcomed aboard by your friendly crew, you can take a look at the delicious continental breakfast. After everyone is settled in, itââ¬â¢s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair.
Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kahoââ¬â¢olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful.
After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town ââ¬â a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

Be captivated by the natural sights of Molokini Crater; a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) away from Maui coast, on this snorkeling expedition that sets off from Maalaea. Immerse yourself in clear, tropical aqua surroundings of this inactive cone which is a sanctuary for various marine organisms including fish, sea-urchins, sharks, manta rays, and corals. As a marine reserve, Molokini prohibits any disturbance, providing a pure and unspoiled island and underwater ecosystem. In addition, you will visit Turtle Town and gaze at the local bird population. If you don’t fancy snorkeling or wrap up early, you can use two water slides, a glass bottom viewing space, or take a ‘leap of faith’. The trip includes breakfast, lunch, light bites, soda, and juice.

- Snorkel locations are determined daily by our captains based on weather, swell, and many years of experience in Maui waters
- Wildlife sightings, while likely, are not guaranteed
- With your safety as a top priority alcohol is served once the snorkel portion of the tour is complete

- Seating is on first come first serve basis

- Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28”. Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.
