The dancing was great.... - The dancing was great. Food was okay and so were drinks. The waiter we got was very cool and so were the hotel staff. Unfortunately, when we went the storm just stopped so they didnt have water. Besides that, it was a great show set right where the beach is with a great view of the sunset

Wonderful Staff - I’m going to break this review into categories. Food: Four stars. I would probably compare it to cruise ship food. Amazing? No. Good? Yes. There were several entree choices, including the traditional pig. Fish and chicken were offered, too. Wait staff: Five stars. The hostess and server were friendly. Do be prepared to tip at the end. Our waiter did a good job keeping our drinks full. Facilities/atmosphere: Three stars. We were seated off to the side, with our backs to the stage and the sun shining right into our eyes. Definitely bring sunglasses. There are four chairs on each side of the table, and the armrests touch each other, so it feels crowded. Entertainers: Five stars. Everyone in the show is very talented. The fire dancers in particular were amazing. One additional comment would be that the hours are technically 5-8. We arrived around 5:15 and didn’t feel like we had missed anything. The show was done around 7:25 ish.

Just OK - 3.5 for me. It was definitely overpriced. The show was done by 7:20 pm (not 8 pm as indicated) and still was losing the interest of my kids a bit. The fire comes at the end but is only a few minutes long and that grabbed their attention again. We did enjoy the entertainment and it is a one and done for me when in Hawaii. Yes, it could be more authentic but it was about what I was expecting. The good - beautiful setting and the food (buffet style) was fairly good. The bad - the "VIP" uncharge left a bad taste in my mouth. It is assigned based on when you purchase the VIP but there were more VIP's than not. I sat in the 8th seat away from the stage after paying for VIP (quite a ways back). However if you don't pay for VIP, you will be far back for sure. It really was poorly communicated when purchasing the tickets what VIP was and seems scammy. The bonuses included are not at all worth it - the photo they took beforehand is absolutely terrible. My iPhone photo is better. Check in was extremely slow. The tables are really crowded - the chairs barely push underneath. Hyatt Regency could really improve on some of the services to make it an overall better experience.

Meh - I’ve been to a few Luau’s on Maui and this one seemed cheap. For what we paid I would expect just a little more. First, we were under the impression that the show started promptly at 5:30 and doors opened at 5:00. Since we weren’t VIP we waited against a wall until about 5:15. So just go straight to your seat. Not that there was much to do prior. They had a free temporary tattoo and one other thing for the kids to do. Drink service was a little slow, but I think our table was skipped because we were never given waters to begin with. We ended up just going to the bar ourselves. The food was ok. The dancers were fine just the show was crap. Felt more high school production instead of professional. And yeah my name is Karen…

Good show but did not understand the MC. - The show was good but at our table (#1) we could not understand a word of the female MC. The food was excellent and the drinks kept coming. They need a better audio system or a MC that can talk louder with better pronunciation.

Disappointing! Don't go. - What an incredible disappointment! The greeting was subdued and lacked any energy. It was sleepy, at best. There was no "mai tai greeting" as advertised, and when I asked about it, I was told, "We already put them away, but you can still enjoy the open bar." We are a gay couple in our 40s, and they sat us with a family with three young kids, and parents who didn't care how poorly behaved their kids were, so we asked to be reseated. It was such an ordeal host to speak to someone just to ask to be reseated. Once the show/food started, it was really good. Our sever was good. Everyone in the show was great, except the host (who was way over the top), but they greeting just ruined the overall experience. How disappointing!
