Fun and informative tour by the CEO - We had an informative and entertaining tour of the chocolate factory with Gunars, the CEO and founder of the company. We heard about how he started the factory, and walked through the entire process from bringing in the beans from the farm to wrapping the chocolates and everything in between. After the tour, we tasted 8 different chocolates, each with a distinct flavor. Definitely worth a visit when you’re on the West side of the island.

Unexpected Great Experience - Wasn't sure what to expect, but the tour was very interesting and the chocolates they ate producing are amazing. The chocolates cacao beans grown at their Lahaina orchard were truly exceptional. Really excited about the new, sugar free items. We plan to go back to the Cafe for lunch, additional tastings, and to buy a number of chocolates. Definitely worthwhile.

This tour is an unsung... - This tour is an unsung treasure. It didn’t show up on any “Best of” lists but it definitely should be. The owner and founder- who is himself fascinating- does the tour personally and is incredibly knowledgeable. Learning about and actually watching the process of making chocolate from bean to finished product was amazing and made the tasting at the end even more delicious. Could not recommend this more strongly!

Eye opening - We had a great time and learned so much. We had no idea how much went into making chocolate, much less great chocolate. And a added bonus, we left with so much delicious chocolate!! What an experience to be had. Very privileged that the founder/CEO had the time to take us through the factory like that. What an impressive person!

Not to be missed - Although we’ve been to Maui many times somehow we missed this gem. The factory tour we took with owner Gunnar was fabulous. It was informative and fun and the tasting that followed was excellent. Best chocolate I’ve ever tasted. Don’t miss it.

Worth the trip! - Very nice and informative tour with Gunnar, the founder. The Original chocolate is scrumptious! Snacks for purchase were tasty. Chocolate tasting was very good. Thought tour cost was a bit pricey but in the end worth it. Factory building itself is impressive as it it is metal and easily survived the fires of two years ago and it’s off the electric grid and totally powered by solar.

Great Chocolate in Maui - This was such a fun experience! The behind the scenes experience of the factory was so personal and informative. The owner, Gunther, is the tour guide and is a wealth of knowledge.
