• Kahekili Beach Park - This scuba diving tour requires participants to swim independently in the deep ocean. If swimming is not a strong suit, please contact us to arrange a private session.

Shore diving at Kahekili Beach in Kaanapali, Maui offers ideal ocean conditions for scuba diving throughout the year. An experienced dive instructor will guide you through the basics by practicing a few skills in shallow water. From there, you will hover above the sand to enjoy an exciting scuba dive!

Participants often encounter vibrant corals, Hawaiian turtles, moray eels, and tropical fish!

The Beginner Scuba Dive lasts approximately 2 hours.

Swimming in the deep ocean is MANDATORY. No refunds will be issued if swimming abilities are misrepresented.

After your dive(s), you must wait 18 hours at sea level before flying, ziplining, or ascending Haleakala.

Prior to scuba diving, a medical statement must be completed. You must be able to answer “NO” to each question. Any “YES” RESPONSE REQUIRES A DOCTOR’S CLEARANCE.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE 3 STATEMENTS WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE EXPERIENCE WITHOUT A REFUND.

Private Scuba Diving is REQUIRED when your group has a novice swimmer. Look for our private tour in a separate listing.

If your swimming ability is misrepresented, it will lead to removal from this beginner scuba dive and NO REFUND.

• Minimum age to participate is 10.
• Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30 pounds for a short distance.
• After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more.
• Guests must be comfortable swimming independently in the ocean to complete this tour. If you book this tour but cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
• Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
• Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
