Embark on a 2.5 to 3-hour loop walk from Kappa Bridge to Taisho Pond, returning via Tashiro Bridge. The forest and riverside paths offer a close connection to nature, while your guide provides insights that enrich the experience. Enjoy lunch at your leisure—whether on a bench or by the river. It’s advisable to bring a simple meal, as cafés near Kappa Bridge can be busy.
In the afternoon, explore Matsumoto Castle—Japan’s oldest original wooden fortress. With pre-booked entry, you can skip the line and explore at your own pace. Van transport from Matsumoto Station ensures a smooth and easy day.
Carefully crafted for small groups, this relaxed tour combines mountain tranquility with cultural richness—ideal for travelers who appreciate calm, beauty, and meaningful exploration.
- Please do not eat or drink coffee inside the vehicle to keep it clean for everyone. Bottled water and small pets in carriers are okay.
- Lunch is not included. We strongly recommend buying a light meal such as onigiri before entering Kamikochi. While there are food shops near Kappa Bridge, they are often crowded with long lines—especially during peak hours. Bringing your own lunch allows you to enjoy it freely while surrounded by the peaceful beauty of nature.
- This tour takes you straight into central Kamikochi in a fast, comfortable van—no lines, no transfers. Public buses are available but often involve long waits, and rental cars aren’t allowed. Large tour buses may be slower or stop farther from the main trails.
- Not recommended for those with knee or joint issues that may be affected by extended walking
- Not recommended for those who are not confident walking for 2–3 hours, especially on uneven paths
- Not recommended for those who may find extended walking or stair climbing physically challenging
- Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes. A light jacket or rain gear is recommended in case of sudden weather changes, especially in the mountains.
- We do not recommend booking a train or bus immediately after the tour, as delays due to traffic or weather are possible. Please allow some buffer time.
- Guests over the age of 75 are welcome to join, but please carefully consider your physical condition before booking. This tour includes extended walking on uneven mountain trails and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or stamina.
