Pickup is available from your hotel (in Norikura, Shirahone, Sawando areas only) or from specific bus stops (Oyakodaki, Sawando, Nakanoyu) if traveling from Matsumoto or Takayama.

IMPORTANT Notice: Reaching Kappa Bridge is not guaranteed and depends on physical fitness, schedule, and bus travel. To increase the likelihood of reaching Kappa Bridge, an earlier start at around 8:00 am is necessary. For an 8:00 am start, staying in Norikura the night before or arriving by rental car to NORTHSTAR is required, as there is no early bus service. Please plan accordingly. Guides will make the final decision on the trail regarding when to turn back.
