Dolphin Tour + Jozani Forest
Matemwe - Start your adventure early in the morning, the ideal time to spot dolphins. Begin in the historic Matemwe fishing village, one of the oldest capitals on Zanzibar Island. While searching for dolphins, take the opportunity to snorkel among the stunning coral reef and a variety of colorful fish and marine life. If the dolphins are feeling playful, you might see them frolicking. As you are in their natural environment, swimming with the dolphins is not guaranteed; however, your guide will strive to ensure they are at ease so you can appreciate their delightful presence, whether up close or from afar.
Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park - The journey to Zanzibar’s Jozani Forest National Park includes a visit to the lush, dense groundwater forest. Home to the rare red colobus monkey, found only in Zanzibar, this is a chance to observe these wild animals closely. Other wildlife in the park includes blue monkeys, elephant shrews, and bushbabies. Continue to the mangrove area, where a bridge built by the conservation authority allows visitors to observe the wildlife without disturbing it.
Stone Town Zanzibar
Stone Town - Stone Town is a World Heritage site and the most atmospheric and lively of all the remaining traditional Swahili settlements. • Visit the House of Wonder to explore the collection of preserved culture. Also, discover the Palace Museums and reflect on the past by visiting the Historical Anglican Church and the Old and Historical Largest East Africa Slave Market. • Descend into the Slave chambers at Mkunazini Slave Market. Conclude your Stone Town tour by experiencing local shopping at Darajani Historical Market. Explore the local shops and souvenirs.
Prison Island - Changuu Private Island - Among the many islands surrounding Zanzibar, Prison Island is the most popular to visit. Experience a motorized boat transfer to Prison Island and meet the founders of the Prison Island Conservation Area. • Discover the Giant Tortoises that have lived for hundreds of years. Enjoy taking interactive photos with peacocks, gazelles, and more. See the natural pool where the Indian Ocean meets the island.
Tangawizi Spice Farm - Visit an organic spice farm on this 2-hour guided tour to learn about one of Zanzibar’s most renowned industries: spices. Discover how the islands produce cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, black pepper, and more. Understand why the Zanzibar Archipelago, along with Tanzania’s Mafia Island, is sometimes referred to as the “Spice Islands”. Upon arrival, the spice farm guide will explain how the spices are cultivated and used for medicinal purposes and flavoring dishes. Experience spices like vanilla, cardamom, nutmeg, and many others. You’ll have the chance to touch, smell, and taste the spices and herbs directly from the plants—spices have never smelled as fresh as these. Alongside these aromatic plants, there will also be fresh tropical fruits to see and taste. Then, a coconut tree climber will pick some fresh young coconuts for you to try. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to purchase spices from the shop.
