The adventure begins with an early morning departure from accommodations near Tongariro National Park (around 5:00–6:00 AM). Guests are then transported by a licensed Tongariro shuttle service to the trailhead at Mangatepopo, where the Tongariro Alpine Crossing starts.

The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a 19.4 km (12-mile) trek through one of New Zealand’s most stunning volcanic landscapes. The trail winds through the Mangatepopo Valley, showcasing unique volcanic formations, steaming vents, and rugged alpine terrain.

The hike concludes at the Ketetahi car park, where the licensed shuttle will pick you up and return you to the meeting point. After this adventure, the journey back to Auckland continues.

Tongariro Alpine Crossing – Private Transfer from Auckland (2 Days)

Embark on a journey from Auckland to Tongariro National Park with a comfortable private transfer, and explore one of New Zealand’s most iconic landscapes.

Day 1:
Leave Auckland and head south towards Tongariro National Park. En route, there are opportunities to visit geothermal areas and admire the volcanic scenery before reaching your accommodation near the park.

Day 2:
A licensed shuttle will be arranged from your accommodation to the starting point of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, with pick-up at the end of your hike.

Please note: The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a self-guided hike. This service provides transportation only, and the driver will not accompany you on the trail. Guests are responsible for completing the hike and being prepared for weather and track conditions. After the hike, the shuttle will return you to the meeting point, and the private transfer back to Auckland will continue.
