Great Experience!! - National Georgiagraphic is easily the most reliable tour operator in and around Batumi. We faced an issue with our booking, but the team was very prompt and helpful in getting it resolved quickly. I 100% recommend booking with them!

Worth exploring nature’s gift to humans. - Tour was physically tiring but possible to experience. English guide who was provided by the Prometheus cave authorities for our group conducted her tour in a way where all members were not together. Aged members like us were left behind and had to explore the caves on our own. We didn’t get to enjoy lights and music in the caves. Tour driver was not English speaking and couldn’t communicate with us.

Martvili Canyon, Prometheus Cave And Hot Springs From Batumi - The experience was definitely worth it. Let me start from the beginning: my friend and I were picked up from the hotel by our tour guide, Nini, along with the driver. Nini was exceptional and truly added extra flavor to the tour. She was warm, understanding, helpful, and very professional. Her communication was excellent, and she answered most of our questions. The car was clean, and the driver was very safe throughout the journey. 1. Prometheus Cave Our first destination was Prometheus Cave. It’s worth visiting if you have a vivid imagination and enjoy learning about centuries of Georgian history. The boat ride was okay, but I would definitely recommend the canyon boat ride in Martvili instead. One issue was that one guest was left without a seat during the Prometheus Cave boat ride. We had to squeeze him in because no staff from the tour company was around to assist. Keep in mind that the entry ticket and boat ride fees are not included in the package. The zipline was a great experience—highly recommended! It gives you a stunning view of the sea, rocks, and water from above and offers a nice adrenaline rush. 😉 2. Martvili Canyon Martvili was such a beautiful place to visit. If you love nature, water views, trees, and rock formations, you will be absolutely fascinated. Waterfall was the most beautiful thing 😍 3. Restaurant Near Martvili We had lunch at a restaurant about a 4–5 minute walk from the canyon. I can’t remember the name, but it was the one offering halal food. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. The woman serving us was disrespectful and lacked basic manners. Language should never be a barrier to respect. Even though Nini tried to help by explaining things, the server showed no professionalism or courtesy. The food portions were very small and overpriced, with an additional 24% tax—which was surprising, as even high-end restaurants I visited did not charge such a tax. She even added €5 for a small amount of ketchup. The way she handled the money was unpleasant, and they only accepted cash, no cards. I strongly recommend that the agency avoid taking clients to that restaurant. I ordered fish, and while it tasted good, the portion was tiny—more like a “mini fish.” 4. Hot Springs (Nokalakevi) Our final stop was the hot springs in Nokalakevi. Unfortunately, we arrived around 18:41, and it was already too dark to see the hot water or the steam. I think the company should manage the timing better, especially since sunset is earlier in mid-November. It was understandably challenging, but still important to consider. Overall Despite the few inconveniences, I would confidently recommend Nini as a tour guide to anyone planning to visit Georgia and make sure you visited all the above mentioned places 🇬🇪

Great day outside Batumi - The day outside of batumi city was very nice, our tour guide Mari was excellent! So pleasant and friendly. The ride from batumi to the first stop is about 3.5 hours which is a bit long but once we’ve reached the caves the views are extraordinary. The next stop was the highlight of the day. Do not miss the Zipline, it is soooo good! Or the boat ride! Unfortunately we did not go to the hot springs because it was way too crowded. (We went on a Sunday) I will summarize and say that I recommend this trip. Book it with Mari! 🩵

Not really a “guided” tour + horrible situation with strays - The only good thing I can credit here is the undeniable beauty of local nature. Wherever we stopped, it was a real eye-pleaser. Now, as to the cons: 1) I have nothing against the guide personally, so it’s not a character attack at all. She was a nice person. However, it’s hard to call this a “guided” tour since the guide does not speak English well. Trust me, this criticism does not come from a place of entitlement, like I expect everyone in the world to know English because it’s a lingua franca. However, if your job is to be a tour guide for foreigners who chose English as the language of their tour, you should be able to speak fairly fluently in order to provide historical and cultural context to what you are showing people. You should also be able to answer most questions that your group might have for you. The guide shared very little information about the landmarks we visited, and was barely able to answer some questions we had. I am sorry, but this has to be taken more seriously by this travel agency since people are paying you money for this service. Please hire competent people to lead these tours. 2) The situation with stray animals is OUT OF CONTROL. It’s unbelievable and heartbreaking how many stray dogs roam around these attractions, hoping to get bits of food from passerby’s. They line up as soon as you leave your vehicle, looking at you with the saddest eyes. I wish I could feed them all, but I cannot. I think this is a major issue in this country that needs to be dealt with as it completely RUINS the overall impression. It makes me not want to spend time outdoors at all, let alone come back here. Do better, Georgia.
