Marsa Alam - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Marsa Alam and transported to Luxor, arriving in approximately 4 hours.
Temple of Karnak - Upon reaching Luxor, visitors will head to the magnificent Karnak Temple, the largest temple ever constructed, spanning 63 acres and built over 2000 years. Capture stunning photos among its massive pillars and obelisks.
Luxor Museum - Next, guests will be taken to the Luxor Museum, which opened in 1975. This two-story building showcases items such as grave goods from the tomb of the 18th dynasty Pharaoh Tutankhamun (KV 62) and a collection of 26 New Kingdom statues discovered in a cache at the nearby Luxor Temple in 1989. The mummies of Pharaohs Ahmose and Ramses I are also on display.
Luxor Temple - Visitors will then enjoy the Luxor Temple on the East Bank, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic elements are displayed. Afterwards, guests will check in at their hotel.
Luxor West Bank Tour and Return to Marsa Alam
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast and checking out, guests will begin their memorable day by visiting the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank, where New Kingdom pharaohs carved their tombs into the mountains to conceal their treasures and protect their mummies.
Howard Carter House - The tour continues to the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. Surrounded by a garden, the house has been restored and features pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber and an exhibition about the tomb’s discovery are also present.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Next, guests will explore the mortuary temple of the renowned Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, discovering her beautiful temple and intriguing story with her nephew.
Art Valley Alabaster Factory - Visitors will then have the opportunity to visit the alabaster factory, where artisans still quarry stones and craft them into handmade items, just like the ancient Egyptians.
Valley of the Nobles - The tour proceeds to the Valley of the Nobles, a collection of tombs belonging to nobles such as Ramose, Senniffer, and Menna. Over 400 Theban noble tombs, marked by numbers and adorned with beautiful carvings, are nestled in the foothills opposite the Ramesseum.
Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - Guests will then visit the Ramesseum Temple, the memorial temple of Pharaoh Ramses II, located in the Theban Necropolis on the west bank of the Nile, across from modern Luxor. The temple’s design follows the traditional New Kingdom temple architecture.
Valley of the Queens - The tour continues to the Valley of the Queens, where the wives and sons of pharaohs were interred. Known in ancient times as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning ‘the place of beauty,’ it contains over 90 tombs. Visitors will explore three tombs, including those of Amun-Khepshef, Khaem-Waset, and Queen Tyti, wife of King Ramses III. The most notable is the tomb of Nefertari, Ramses II’s favorite queen.
Habiba Hand Weaving - Guests will then visit Habiba for hand weaving, specializing in hand-woven scarves made from Egyptian cotton, linen, and wool. Local artisans also sell machine-made scarves and shawls. Located in a rural setting on Luxor’s west bank, visitors can observe women crafting handmade cloth from pure cotton using traditional methods.
Colossi of Memnon - The tour includes a photo stop at the colossal statues of Memnon.
Marsa Alam - At the end of the tour, guests will be driven back to Marsa Alam.
