Excursion to Luxor - Challenging hike but I would do it again immediately! Our driver, Mustafa, very competent, discreet and punctual. Our guide in Italian, I think his name was Ahmed, an exceptional person: he explained everything very well in excellent Italian. We were really satisfied and happy.
Thank you, I have already recommended and will highly recommend Marsa Alam Tours.

Van private but guide not. Tour was beautiful. - Dutch guide was great. The sights beautiful.
At the valley of the kings we booked some tombs, that's no problem there. Our guide has also arranged an extra trip on the Nile on site, for 15 p.p. Very nice.
The guide wasn’t private, the van was. In the morning the drivers had to stall for a long time to make sure that we arrived in Luxor at the same time as another Dutch couple. We therefore had 6 hours of work to get there, this could really have been much faster. We had booked 5 months in advance, and were told the day before that there would be another couple walking with our guide. Not neat!

A special experience - We really enjoyed our day trip to Luxor. It was an early start and long drive but visiting Karnak and the Valley of the Kings made it worth it .We had a van to ourselves, so we could spread out and relax. Our two drivers took the driving in turns and we felt very safe in their hands. Mahmoud, our guide in Luxor, was excellent and provided a fascinating insight into the history and developments of the three sites we visited. I would thoroughly recommend booking with Marsa Alam tours, they were better value than other companies and going private meant we were picked up and returned to our hotel, which is a real advantage after a long day.

Very friendly and great value - Amazing day trip from marsa alam. Everything was included and we were really well looked after by our very friendly driver Asim Abu Ziad and our tour guide Nubi. The private car/minivan was really nice and comfortable for the long journey and they made sure we had everything we needed. The tour and sights were also really cool and the lunch was amazing in a very nice spot. A really good value tour.

Absolutely amazing! - We we’re stunned!
We got WhatsApp contact with Rana Sami before we even flew to Egypt. Everything was so fine tuned and planned out. We started the day nice and early with a pick up from our drivers right infront of our hotel. The car was nice, spacious and air conditioned. Our drivers were Waheed and Karim. They knew all the shortcuts and drove smoothly and safely. We still have contact on WhatsApp and they are the most amazingly kind people. So happy they were our drivers! When we arrived at Luxor our tourguide Hammy got in the car, and boy has he got spirit! Right away he was telling us the exact planning with care and in perfect english. We visited the various sights and were absolutely blown away by all the details Hammy explained. I told him i wanted to propose to my girlfriend on the Nile and he got so excited he bought us some drinks and called some contacts to arrange a private boat where I could propose. She said Yes! After every sight the drivers Waheed and Karim were instantly there to bring us to our next stop. The private drivers are so on point.
All together we had simply the most amazing time of our lives all thanks to Marsa Alam yours. With special thanks to Hammy, Waheed and Karim.
Thankyou for making our visit to Luxor such an amzing experience.

We had an amazing experience with marsa alam tours. - To start, the service over email and WhatsApp was amazing. We were helped by Rana Samy, and she was fantastic. She replied within 30 minutes and made me feel completely at ease about the trip.
On the day of the trip, we were picked up by Waheed and Karim. They picked us up at our hotel and were absolutely amazing. The drive was long, but we felt very safe and could not have asked for better drivers. After visiting every temple, they made sure to greet us with a smile and open the car door for us. It was lovely talking to Waheed about his family and his passion for camels. On the way back, he treated us to the most delicious ice cream. Waheed and Karim truly made this trip even more special.
Our guide was Hammy. I could not have wished for a better guide. His passion for Egypt and all there is to see in Luxor was amazing. He knew the best places to see and how to get everywhere quickly without having to go through big crowds. You could tell he had spent a long time studying the history of Egypt. He went out of his way to get us drinks and snacks, and everything was prepared perfectly. There was no waiting in line for tickets or a shuttle; Hammy had everything ready. During the boat ride, we had an amazing dance party, and he made sure we had the time of our lives. (My boyfriend proposed to me on the river; Hammy made sure we had a private boat and was truly so happy for us.) He also advised us when we were about to pay too much and brought us to honest and reputable shops. If you need a guide, I truly recommend him.
I could not be more excited about Marsa Alam Tours. For anybody looking for a tour company, this is the one!
Thank you so much to everybody who made this trip happen for us,
Tessa and Ray

Highly recommended!!!! - Very well organized excursion, at lower price than others, with guide in Italian. Punctual and kind drivers and guide in Luxor (Mo) who spoke excellent Italian. I gave excellent because really organized well, Rana Samy always available on whatsapp, I bus everything for us who were four but something negative there was: the lunch unproposable, dilapidated place in which we really struggled to taste something. The beauties of Luxor have made us overcome this inconvenience...

Day trip in Luxor in family - I booked the all stuff with Tasneem and it was quite easy.
The day trip was really nice with all the stuff we could see. It really worth it.
The journey was a bit long (~5h) but we had a lot of place in the van so we could easily lie and have a nap in it.
And the guide was really nice and told us a lot of nice fun facts.

Great excursion - It was a very great trip with many exciting impressions. We had two riders who picked us up on time to the minute and shared the 500km ride. There were three of us and had a whole minibus, so it was comfortable. The driving pace was high, but otherwise you can't make it there - and back on the same day. Our guide Khalil joined us in Luxor and was super nice and helpful. In perfect English, he led us to the sites and always gave us time to be alone. Lunch was great. The only downside for us were the two “sales shows”. Once a perfumery on the way - and a handicraft workshop on the way back. In the end, we bought something from both of them (as probably most of them did), as they were nice sellers and the products were not bad per se. But if you book a tour, especially a private tour, it really wouldn't have been necessary. I also experienced this in Morocco and could not understand it at all. Well what the hell, we now have a nice vase and Cleopatra milk ;)

Never with them again! - The hike is worth doing because the places are spectacular, but the organization left a lot to be desired. The private tour, it wasn't private! With us there were 7 other people with their times and choices and we were asked to agree because we all had to do the same thing: they had booked the mini cruise and we had not, but we all had to do the same thing (it cost 15€ per person, for us 4 so 60€ more). Disgruntled them and dissatisfied us.
The tour included crossing the Nile by speedboat but we were made to do it by bus.
At lunch drinks (even water) were excluded and for a fee.
The Walid guide did not seem too prepared and answered our questions in a more or less apocalyptic way. But above all he did not accompany us inside the tombs or archaeological sites: he gave us an explanation of when we should see inside and waited for us outside! All the guides of the other groups accompanied inside for a thorough and clear explanation.... so experience to do, but not with this tour operator because what he promises does not keep!
