Day 1: Marsa Alam – Luxor Tour:

Temple of Karnak - Marsa Alam to Luxor

In the early morning, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Marsa Alam by a private air-conditioned car for an overnight trip to Luxor. Upon arrival, a private tour guide will accompany them to visit:

Karnak Temple: No site in Egypt is more awe-inspiring than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever constructed by man, representing the collective achievements of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak consists of three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples spread over 247 acres.

Luxor Temple - Luxor Temple: The Temple of Luxor was the focal point of the most significant festival, the festival of Opet. Primarily built by Amenhotep III and Rameses II, the temple served as a venue for the festival’s rituals, aimed at reconciling the human aspect of the ruler with the divine office.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Luxor with a view of the Nile, followed by check-in at a 3-star hotel (with the option to upgrade).

In the evening, guests can enjoy an optional Sound and Light Show at Karnak: The show begins with a historical introduction covering the birth of the great city of Thebes and the construction of the Karnak Temple.

The show narrates the glorious achievements of some great Pharaohs, offering a magnificent and poetic description of the artistic treasures and great legacy enclosed within the Karnak temple.

Luxor to Marsa Alam

Valley of the Kings - Luxor to Marsa Alam

After breakfast at the hotel, guests will be accompanied by their private tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle to visit the Valley of the Kings:

This is the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty, home to tombs including those of the great pharaoh Ramses II and the boy pharaoh Tutankhamen.

The tombs were well-stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the afterlife. Most of the decorations inside the tombs remain well-preserved.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Hatshepsut Temple:

This is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position connecting the levels.

Colossi of Memnon - Colossi of Memnon:

Two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III are the only remnants of a complete mortuary temple.

The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone that originated in Cairo and were transported 700 KM to Luxor.

Enjoy lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Nile before being driven back to the hotel in Marsa Alam.

It is recommended to order a breakfast box from the hotel due to the early departure.
