An excellent excursion in the Berber country - Our guide Omar Imzilen was our dream guide today, charming, personable, alert and attentive.
We visited many places in a fairly relaxed manner, so we were very satisfied at the end of the day. For example, we had breakfast at a women's cooperative who informed us about natural food and beauty products.
Visited a waterfall in a valley in the Atlas Mountains - here Omar was also very alert that nothing would happen to us. Good footwear can go a long way.
At an altitude of 1100 m we had a delicious lunch in Omar's birth village - which was prepared by his family - sitting on a lovely terrace with a beautiful view.
Then we ended up in the Agafay desert - there we were offered a short camel ride. For me it was a victory - I usually don't dare to sit on such a high animal - but there were guides walking with me and the camels walked behind each other, linked together. It felt secure. The excursion ended with a glass of tea and we were returned to the place where everyone had been picked up. It was extra great that I was able to take more than 300 photos - even from the bus - the images will certainly inspire me in my work as a visual artist.
He could tell us a lot of factual and historical events that happened and wherever we went.
The driver also deserves a big compliment!

An unforgettable day - This tour was a perfect day trip from the busyness of Marrakech. We first stopped at a woman-owned Argan oil cooperative to learn how Argan oil and black soap is made. We then drove to a Berber village and took an hourlong (not too difficult) hike to a waterfall and down into a valley. There we stopped for a delicious and plentiful lunch at a restaurant with a lovely view. After lunch we drove to the location (the scenery along the way was breathtaking!) where we took our (20 minutes or so) camel ride. It was an unforgettable experience! All of the hosts (Argan oil shop, restaurant, camel owners) were very welcoming. Our guide Lahcen was a true delight and made sure we were all happy throughout the day. He grew up near the village we visited and was able to tell us first hand about daily life. The van we rode in was clean and we had an excellent driver as well. The other thing we loved was the cross section of people we shared the trip with - truly an international group and we loved spending the day with them as well. Thank you Lahcen and everyone who made this tour so nice!

This day trip was a great... - This day trip was a great experience for anyone who wishes to cram in as much as possible that the surroundings of Marrakesh have to offer. Ibrahim and Mohammed were excellent guides. Ibrahim is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the areas that we visited. Both Ibrahim and Mohammed were very welcoming and kind and happy to help us with anything we needed. The duration was slightly longer than excepted but the activities were worth it. Excellent choice for a day trip and would definitely recommend it.

A long day, with lots of travel. - Started well with the camel ride but then down hill, there was lots of travel with little wow factor at each stop.
The waterfall wasn't that spectacular, and you felt pressured to have the optional lunch (which was 7euros, not 5) and was not great at all - very rushed and a basic tasteless tagine.
The guide spent more time chatting up the 2 French girls on the trip, then caring about the families and sharing information.

It’s cheap for a reason - Let’s start with it takes itinerary 1 hour to pick up everyone (16 people) in total that were never at the meeting point on time. Driving to the place to ride the Camels took around 1 hour, it was in the middle of nowhere with nothing to see and we rode the camels in a circle around the “block”. After we drove 1 hour and a half to see the Argan woman making the oil however, it’s all set up in a shop rather than in their original village. Then we drove another 1 hour and half to Atlas mountain for lunch, passing trough villages but with no expectation of the place as the guide spoke very little English. The lunch was really good (as most of the food in Marrakesh), we finished eating around 3:30pm and the guide told us that we were going to walk to the waterfall and back (40min each way) then he would take us back to Marrakesh (2 hours journey). My friend and I made plans for the evening as the trip was advertised as “6 hours trip” that you spend literally inside the van rather than seeing places and doing things. We asked the guide if we could walk there and get picked up near to the waterfall that we new it was an option, so that we could be back in Marrakesh at least by 6:30pm, but he said no. As we had plans, we had no choice but asked for a taxi. I would definitely recommend you to find another tour and make sure that your guide speaks English and take you to places that are worth it.

In hindsight I would have opted for something else - We met at the meeting point at 8:45 but waited more than 40 minutes before leaving town to pick up all the other people. Perhaps it would have been better to have an appointment in a common place so as to have a precise time of departure. The route is not explained in detail until you meet the guide, it would have been nice to know in advance step by step what we were going to do and especially where exactly we will have stopped. The camel ride is not done in Agafay ‘center’ but further south. Landscape different from what you see in the photos. Once you get to the last stage (Imlil) you take a walk that leads to a waterfall, which in my opinion is not worth it. Last lunch, takes up too much time, we probably sat at the restaurant 2 hours. We returned to the city at 17:45, of which 1 hour and 15 employees on the return journey. The guide did not speak good English and did not give us a rough explanation of things.

FRAUD! WORST EXPERIENCE! - DO NOT BOOK!!
We had the worst experience ever with this company! Its a complete fraud! Never book!
They did not take us to the agafay desert in the first trip and the second time we booked them for quadbikes they promised us to take us to the desert and give tea and pictures with a view! Nothing like that happened. We were taken on very bad quality quadbikes! 2 out of 5 of them broke twice within an hour. After the quad who barely spoke french or english said the tea place is closed and there is no view point he knows about. When we called the manager he was very rude and shouted at us! They took our money in advance. We called them many times for compensation they did not answer!

Run away! - Run away!
a dangerous excursion, and besides without any interest! Despite the deplorable weather conditions experienced by the organiser, he did not see fit to cancel the excursion. Departure at 9am, pick up of tourists then a first stop in a cooperative of Berber women ABSOLUTELY NOT traditional, tea, an expeditious explanation, the aim is to buy products at a "tourist" price! we crossed the valleys without any explanations of the guide. On the way to the restaurant, impossible to get on the bus to the "restaurant" because of the snow, mini bus with smooth tires, no chain and no fallback solution, so we had to get off the bus to walk more than 40 minutes UNDER and IN the snow (15cm of snow!), no tourists were equipped, and there were many young children. Arrivals soaked from head to toe at the refuge, no heating, no towel to dry; several groups of tourists crammed into a room, or on a panoramic terrace (admittedly covered but absolutely not windproof!) Meal priced at 7 euros and not 6 as indicated on the website... Our driver (the only one of all groups) is still unable to go upstairs to pick us up at the refuge (and not restaurant!), getting back down on foot is a heresy-we all risk hypothermia so wet we are! another guide to the kindness of welcoming us in his mini-bus. So we go down the valley, crowded with 30 passengers instead of 17!, standing on the bus, defying all safety rules! I am willing to comply with local customs but this total lack of respect for security borders on unconsciousness!! It is unacceptable on the part of the organizer not to give any fallback solution to the guide and his driver, leaving them to fend for themselves and handle the situation with the means of the ship, namely NONE! So we crossed the valleys always without any cultural input, dripping from head to toe and shivering with cold, to go to the camel ride that lasted 15 minutes! At this rate, in proportion to the activities done during the day (so none!), it's Rolls Royce camel! Returned at 5:30 p.m. to the hotel. This "excursion" is a scandal and a tourist scam; to buy if you want to waste a day riding on a bus! It might be wise to warn tourists in case of bad weather so that they can cancel or confirm their reservation with full knowledge of the facts; but also to equip themselves either to walk in the snow or for a hike of 1h30 in nature (not specified in the description). An unacceptable service!
