IMLIL VALLEY

Day 1: Marrakech-Imlil - Tizi n’Tamaterte - Tachddirt

Depart from Marrakech at 9 am for Imlil. After a welcome drink, leave Imlil behind and enjoy a stroll with views of numerous Berber villages, meeting the friendly local Berbers. After an hour of walking, pause for a refreshing glass of mint tea in a traditional Berber house. Continue the hike to Tizi n’Tamatert (2300 m). Lunch will be served after Tizi n’Tamatert before heading to the final village, Techdirt or Tinghourine, where you will spend the night in a bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Tinghourin / Tachddirt-Ikkis-Aguersiwal-Marrakech

The second day involves 4-5 hours of trekking, taking you from Tinghourine / Tachdirt to Ikkis, Aguersiwal (2100m), and Matat to Ait Aissa. The route passes through other picturesque villages and the Oudits pass (2200 m). Enjoy lunch at Mzzik before descending to Imlil, where the trek concludes and you will be transferred back to Marrakech.

Travel from Marrakech through many little hamlets and Berber villages to the magnificent Western High Atlas Mountains. Trek past the villages of Imlil, Arghen and M’zzik. Visit; a village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of fruit trees and vegetables. Get over Tiz M’zzik Mountain pass (2450m) and descent through junipper trees down to Tizi Oussem villagea for the night . On day2, you Travel down to the Assif Azzaden Valley ( Assif Azzaden ), passing through several Berber hamlets and up to the Tizi Oudite pass and down to the village of Aguersiouâl.
Enjoy your lunch by the river before you set for another hour up the Imlil valley prior to get back to the village of imlil and transfer back to Marrakech .
