Great experience - Went with my adult daughter. We loved it. Years ago I had gone to one in Istanbul and this was exactly like it. Old, traditional and steeped in history. Two ladies lying on the benches when we entered the welcomed us warmly. When they heard I was the mum they started singing and clapping their hands so we joined in. They then got me to dance as they clapped and we took turns. It was the best fun and very unexpected but gave us a very happy memory. The ladies were lovely snd kind. Certainly broke the ice. It's a lovely place where women can chat, sing and laugh. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the whole experience. Relaxing in the hot room with shafts of sunlight coming through circles in the domed ceiling knowing that women have done the same for hundreds of years was magical. We felt relaxed and nurtured afterwards. Take it as it comes and enjoy it. It's not a spa,in the modern sence of the word. It's a proper old Hamman and a great experience. It was also the first time I could actually breathe since arriving in Marrakech

Absolutely loved it! Took... - Absolutely loved it! Took a bit of a while to find up some back roads but was worth it. My skin is so soft. No frills but does the job and the women were lovely. Thank you

A Roll around in the Dirt would be better! - Absolutely disgusting! Dilapidated dirty, disorganised, noisy and unhygienic..my glove rub began at my legs, back butt arms and then the woman wanted to do my face with that very same glove. Zero care, we were then slathered in the mask which looked like pavement dirt and smelt then put in a separate room for 20 min waiting. When I got up to see when we were moving onto the next phase, I saw the woman who gave me my glove rub using my glove to bathe herself. Awful cheap products and my massage made me feel like a chicken being basted ready to go into the oven and I had to listen to the loud chatter of the staff all the way through it. I’ve been to hammam all over the world and this one was by far the worst experience I’ve had.

Authentic Moroccan experience - The visit to this hammam was an authentic local experience. If you’re looking for a spa-like atmosphere, this is not your place. Here you immerse yourself in a very authentic environment, surrounded by local people, and that makes it special. The exfoliating treatment was very good, although the place is quite dark, with plastic buckets and a cleanliness that does not seem flawless... It is not recommended for scrupulous people. I went with a 12-year-old girl and we agreed that it was one of the most authentic experiences we experienced during the trip. Highly recommended, but you have to know what you are going to.

Skip the massage and enjoy the basic hammam instead - My experience with Hammam Mouassine was a truly unique one. Being washed and scrubbed by another woman who doesn't speak any language I do felt a bit strange to begin with but once I just let go and started enjoying the raw beauty of the ritual, everything felt about right. However, I recommend going for the hammam only - I decided to go for a massage with argan oil as well and everything was very rushed. I didn't have time to enjoy the hammam as much as I would have wanted and was dragged away from the steambath to a very average and disappointing massage. The hammam itself was a really enriching cultural experience and I would love to do it again!

Where disinterested poses as 'traditional' - I love a traditional, immersive experience, and this certainly did that, just not in the way I expected. I was welcomed by someone chatting on the phone and who pointed me to where I should stand, sit, undress, lock my clothes away, while she chatted to a friend. The reception was also occupied by 4 older women. One chopping vegetables into a pot on a gas burner, and two others laid down half asleep on the benches. In dirty thongs/flip-flops and a towel I was guided by a hand in my back to the next room where my towel was taken and I was motioned to lie on a plastic/foam kitchen mat. I was given a good scrub, rinse, and had some dark potion spread here and there, and was then pointed into another unloved room with a kitchen-type mat to lie on. This had the heated floor. After about 15 minutes I was called back, asked to get my old-skin-scrub mat from before to sit on, and was rinsed. Finished, I was told. Then I moved into the massage part, argon oil, I was looking forward to it. I was taken into a room with a would-be worker dozing on the second massage bed, and I had to ask for my own towel to replace the damp one set up to cushion my face, and so it began. I didn't mind the chatting, kids coming in and out, I'm fine with nudity, but the massage was the one your child might give you if you asked them to rub your shoulders after a long day. Disinterested, repetitive, clock-watching - I wished I'd booked the 30 minutes. So for a very local experience - yes. For the money and promise of a pleasant hammam experience - no.

Definitely original - Do not expect luxury and courtesy, the first was not among my requirements the second yes. I'm fine with the strigliata (excellent) with a product whose origin I did not understand (I could have been allergic), I did not like the poor hygiene. On the same rotating rug you lie down anyone, you are left to relax (?) without the possibility of rinsing your eyes from soap. Towels (doubts) stacked. At the time of rinsing, they wash your hair and comb it with a comb for everyone. I refused (kindly with a nod) to let them rinse me "everywhere" seemed too intimate for me. Glad I had the experience but I would not do it again. P.s. the photos you find online do not refer to the part dedicated to women, not at all.

NEITHER THE DEAL, NOR THE PRICE ES FAIR. - My first weekend in Marrakech I organized myself looking for this place to relax with an Arab bath and a massage of argal oil....The price on this page is 210 DH for the bath + 220 DH for the massage and for a child under 12 years is 90DH for the exchange 52 euros .....The price in reception was different but I explained to the receptionist that the web the children paid 90 DH and said that it was no problem that the girl could spend paying that and my husband would go to pay when finishing after two hours because you can not pay by card , when I go in there they tell me we wait for your husband and I explained that my husband comes in 2 H when finishing .....Already the reception boy had been wrong, he said "no problem no problem no problem" because in the end if there was and I had to lose two hours until my husband comes back because they only accept cash and at first ...Maybe in Morocco punctuality and time is not a problem but for me , that I organize everything , the reservation of food etc, because it is not in my plans to waste time and I left without blaming anyone but the price was not bad so I organized it for the next day quieter without making reservations, but we felt like going outside Morocco to eat at the bank of Ourika valley....In the end we went already with cash, but my husband felt like going to the hamman the came to negotiate with the receptionist and I was surprised and they would not let my husband pass in first man hamman.I could not believe the girl.I started it all , the children and it has no difference as it is no difference and she is usually 9 adults and it is not bad but I organized it is not bad for the next day without making reservations, but we wanted to go outside Morocco to eat at the banks of Ourika valley....In the end we already went to the city with cash, but my husband felt like going to the hamman the ... but my husband wanted to go to the hamman the receptionist came to negotiate with the receptionist and I did not let the receptionist and my husband pass the surprise and my husband pass me and my husband let my husband pass me pass the first man pass the first man hamman.I could not believe everything, I DE DE DE children's web price screenshot can DEn see it and verify it before going... Although I recommend another place where they will be treated better and there will be staff who know how to do massages and is NO last DE days (traditional ritual).

TO ESCAPE - RUN AWAY! The reservation was wrongly taken into account, we were tried to scam us into taking the most expensive massage. Serious lack of hygiene! We have to change in front of everyone. Non-relaxing massage because the masseuses speak all the way with the door open and we are in the entrance there is no privacy. Brutal care for showers I was ripped off the towel without my consent to shower. We are washing with a plastic basin with soap good walk I felt like a 4year old. I just wanted to leave this place. Positive or not offers the tea at the end.
