Cross the Ziz Valley with its dramatic gorges, visiting the villages of Midelt and Erfoud. From Erfoud, take a dirt road into the desert to reach the small village of Merzouga in southeastern Morocco. Spend the night in a hotel at the edge of the sandy dunes.
