The Day the Water Spoke Back - I still feel the mist on my skin as I write this. A monkey, bold as a thief, had just darted past me clutching a stolen biscuit, and in that very instant, the sunlight caught the spray of the falls, scattering it into a thousand shimmering stars. That image—light, water, laughter—is how the whole day feels in memory. The morning began quietly. Hicham, our driver, arrived before the city was fully awake, his warm smile and soft “sabah al khair” easing us into the road ahead. As we left Marrakech behind, the light stretched gently across olive groves, goats paused mid-crossing, and once, Hicham hummed an old tune I didn’t recognize, but it threaded through the stillness like an invitation. The air smelled of earth after dawn, sweet and grounding. When we reached the village, our guide, Mustapha, led us down the trail toward the Ouzoud waterfalls. The path was uneven, sometimes shaded by fig trees, sometimes opening wide with sweeping views of the valley. The air grew heavier, damp with the scent of wet stone. Out of nowhere, monkeys appeared—playful, quick, curious. One tugged gently at a stranger’s backpack, another leapt across branches with the confidence of kings. Their presence made the descent feel like entering another world. And then, the falls themselves. The roar built slowly, like a drumbeat, until we turned a bend and saw them: towering sheets of white water plunging into emerald depths. I chose the boat ride, and as we glided closer, the roar swallowed every other sound. “Hold on!” the boatman cried, and then the spray struck—icy, wild, exhilarating. My laughter came unbidden, as if the water itself had broken something open inside me. Lunch was a slow pause by the river. A clay tajine, fragrant with saffron and lemon, a crisp salad, fresh bread still warm, and the inevitable mint tea. I sat barefoot on the cool stone ledge, listening to Mustapha share stories of growing up near the falls. A child nearby fed a monkey pieces of bread, their giggles threading into the soundscape of rushing water and rustling leaves. The return was quieter. I dozed, waking just in time to catch the sun dissolving into crimson across the hills. My body was tired, but my heart felt stretched, like I had touched something timeless. This ouzoud waterfalls day trip from marrakech was the soul of Morocco in motion. If nature humbles you, the marrakech to ouzoud route is a must.

Amazing tour, highly recommend - Incredible views, a lot included for such a good price. Such an incredible experience so highly recommend. What made our trip was our tour guide Mohammad. He was so helpful, attentive and all round kind and caring. He was very informative and made sure our small group was happy at all times. Thank you so much!

Memorable - Really memorable trip. Local guide was really helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend but beware of the 600 steps going down to the waterfall and back up lol

monkeys, waterfalls, and boat rides!! - Overall is a relatively easy walk, less than 5k round trip. Back up there are many small stairs but donkeys available if needed. We had an amazing tour guide who's kindness showed through him. Lunch was yummy, boat ride was fun, and monkeys were a treat. Only wish we could have chosen to swim instead of go to lunch and the AC broke on the bus ride back, but we survived.

Nice day trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls - A lovely trip. Pick-up and return to the hotel were included. You could also see how argan oil is made in a village. You can also see wild Barbary macaques. I can recommend the tour to anyone who loves nature and wants to see something different from the cities.

Disappointing Experience at Ouzoud Falls Tour - My experience with the Ouzoud Falls tour fell short of expectations in several key areas. Firstly, the departure time was significantly delayed. Additionally, the change of transfer vehicle to a smaller, simpler van was unexpected and not communicated beforehand. The advertised meeting point did not align with the actual location, causing confusion and frustration. Moreover, the scheduled break on the return journey extended far beyond the anticipated duration due to logistical issues, disrupting our plans and causing unnecessary delays. Furthermore, the demeanor of the driver was less than welcoming, displaying a lack of friendliness and seeming disgruntled throughout the trip. Despite these shortcomings, it must be acknowledged that the waterfalls themselves were indeed beautiful, offering breathtaking views and the guides at the falls were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, while the natural beauty of Ouzoud Falls was a highlight, the tour experience was marred by organizational flaws and subpar service, leaving much to be desired in terms of customer satisfaction.

Unpleasant travel experience to Ozoud waterfall - This was a very unpleasant travel experience for us. We had booked for a small group tour for 4 people as a family. Unfortunately a mini bus turned up with 28 other people in it and as we were the last to be picked up there were only three seats available at different spots which meant my 5 year old had to sit separately without her parents and my husband had to use a very uncomfortable make do seat in the front next to the driver. As it was Eid, the driver said he could do nothing about it but promised to put us on another mini van on our way back. However we were not allowed to board the mini van until all passengers had boarded and the situation was the same where 4 of us were left to occupy three seats! The only consolation of this whole trip was the waterfall. Therefore I would say if people can arrange their own transport to the waterfall, please do so rather than use this agency. The trek to the waterfalls can be done without a guide too.
