After approximately 40 minutes, we will reach the Ourika River.
- Ourika Valley - A stop will be made at “Maison du Meunier Berbere” for a visit and photo opportunities in a house designed in Berber style. There will also be an opportunity to shop for a variety of fascinating items before continuing to Setti Fadma, where the adventure continues.

Setti Fadma - About 20 minutes from Maison du Meunier Berbere, we will arrive at Setti Fadma, where the main adventure begins. Enjoy a walk and hike in the Atlas Mountains to explore the deeper Moroccan side, experiencing the Berber lifestyle and cuisine. Discover how they adapt to life in the Atlas Mountains, visit waterfalls, traverse natural passes, and explore local shops showcasing handcrafted items.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where the usual city food and snacks are set aside in favor of delicious Berber cuisine, such as a vegetable-filled Tajine and many other dishes. After lunch and some relaxation, the journey will take us back to Marrakech.

Ourika Valley is located approximately 60km from Marrakech. Nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, it features several Berber villages, female cooperatives producing Argan oil, and a series of waterfalls near the Ourika River. This valley is one of the most fertile in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, boasting flowing streams, lush trees, stunning flowers, blooming bushes, and charming waterfalls. After enjoying lunch here, you have the option to embark on a 2-hour hike. This hike takes you through the Berber village of Setti Fatma and its surrounding fields, where you might spot wild monkeys and take in spectacular views of the waterfall. After the hike, we will return to Marrakech.

Nice day in the mountains. - We had a wonderful day despite the small rain. Mustapha, our driver always smiles and takes the time to explain where we are. The waterfalls are impressive:)

A relaxing and delicious hike - Great experience! The tours before the waterfalls were interesting and were done in complete relaxation. The waterfalls great time and we followed the rec for the restaurant and we ate in the sun on the cushions by the river! Very good berber tagine. Rest after climbing. It was my best day in Marrakech. Thank you, Karim.

Successful excursion - We had a great day with our guide Mohammed. Our favorite moment was the typical Moroccan dinner in a Berber house with incredible views of the snow-capped mountains. To strongly advise!

Tour guide barely spoke English - We booked a private Ourika Valley & Atlas Mountains tour and unfortunately the experience did not match what was advertised.
We understand that road closures due to landslides are outside of the company’s control. However, the way the situation was handled made the experience disappointing. We were never informed ahead of time about changes to the itinerary, nor were we given clear communication during the tour.
Our driver did not speak English and barely communicated with us at all. We were not told that he was only a driver and not a tour guide. When we arrived at the Berber house, another tour guide from a different group had to explain to us what was happening with the road closure. Until then, we had no explanation or expectations about how the tour would change.
Because of this, the tour ended very early and we did not get to see the main highlights of the tour, including:
• The Ourika Valley / Setti Fatma waterfalls
• Lunch by the river
Instead, the tour mainly consisted of a Berber house visit and stops at a pottery shop and a rug store. We paid a little over $100 for a private full‑day tour, so missing the core attractions felt like a significant loss of value.
I want to be clear that we would have been completely understanding if the guide had communicated clearly in English and explained what was happening and what alternatives were available. Unfortunately, the lack of communication made us feel confused and shortchanged.
After the tour, we reached out to request a partial refund. The only compensation offered was airport transportation, which we could not use since we already had transportation booked from the Agafay Desert. We followed up again afterward and received no response.
This experience could have been handled much better with proper communication and follow‑through. When major parts of a tour cannot be delivered, transparency and reasonable resolution are essential.
