Marrakech - Tizi-n-Tichka - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Tinghir

Tinghir - Begin the journey with a pick-up from your accommodation or designated location in Marrakech around 7:00 am. Travel from Marrakech to Tinghir via the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass, offering expansive views of the mountains and traditional High Atlas Berber villages. Continue to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy lunch at Ait Benhaddou, then stop at a supermarket in Ouarzazate before proceeding to Tinghir for an overnight stay at a hotel, including dinner and breakfast.

Tinghir - Toudgha Gorges - Merzouga Desert

Merzouga - After breakfast, depart for the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Along the way, pass through Berber villages, Todra Gorges, oasis, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, marking the start of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Arrive at a hotel in Merzouga, relax briefly, and pack a small bag for the desert night, leaving other luggage at the hotel. Embark on a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, capturing beautiful sunset and sunrise photos. Upon reaching the camp, leave the camels and walk to the highest sand dunes for sandboarding and sunset views. Spend the night in a camp (Berber nomad tents) with drum music in the heart of the Sahara.

Merzouga Desert – Nomad Family Visit – Berber Cooking Experience

Merzouga - After breakfast at the desert camp, embark on a 4x4 excursion around Merzouga to explore small Berber villages and the Sahara lifestyle. Visit a local nomad family living in traditional tents and enjoy a cup of Moroccan mint tea while learning about their desert life.

Later, participate in a unique cultural experience with a local Berber family by joining a traditional desert cooking class. Together, prepare an authentic Moroccan dish such as tagine or Berber pizza (Medfouna) using fresh local ingredients and traditional methods.

After the cooking experience, savor the meal you prepared while learning more about Berber traditions and desert culture. Return to the camp in the evening to relax and spend another tranquil night under the Sahara stars.

Merzouga Desert - Marrakech

Marrakech - Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, then ride camels back to Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, begin the return journey to Marrakech, passing through various areas and Berber villages until reaching Ouarzazate. Follow the same route back to Marrakech. The shared 3-day desert tour from Marrakech concludes late in the afternoon around 7:30 PM, with a drop-off at your hotel or the nearest accessible point to your riad.
