The goal of the first day is to acclimate to the country and connect with its main tourist city. The journey begins at Marrakech Menara Airport, where the staff will meet the travelers at the terminal and arrange the transfer to the riad located in the medina. After checking in, there will be free time to explore the city (if the schedule allows) before heading to the riad rooms to rest.
- Ait Ben Haddou - Day 2: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
On the second day, the journey leaves Marrakech to embark on an anticipated road trip beyond the Atlas Mountains. The driver will pick up the travelers at the riad and head towards the desert, passing through the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, situated at 2,260 meters above sea level, offering spectacular panoramic views during the ascent, peak, and descent. The first major stop will be to visit Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified Berber village that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its clustered houses within high, impenetrable walls give it a video game or movie-like appearance. In fact, films like Gladiator and series like Game of Thrones have filmed scenes here. Its origin is linked to caravan routes from the southern Sahara that made stops here.

Merzouga - The journey continues into the pre-Saharan valleys, where rivers with low or seasonal flow (wadis) provide enough moisture to form palm oases and some cultivated fields. The Valley of the Roses is one such place, filled with rose bushes. The Dades Valley is another, with beautiful villages like Tinghir, and iconic palm groves such as those in that city or in Tinjdad or Touroug. In one of the secondary valleys, a magical place will be discovered: the Todra Gorges, with towering, vertical rock cliffs, where travelers can walk along the base. Leaving the Dades Valley, the journey reaches the desert’s edge, specifically the city of Erfoud, known for its marble industry and fossil exhibitions that attract visitors. Shortly after, in Merzouga, the vehicle will be parked to continue with a more traditional and desert-adapted mode of transport: dromedaries.

Ouarzazate - Ouarzazate, a city also known for its significant film studios, is home to the Taourirt Kasbah, another magnificent example of Berber-style defensive and palatial architecture. It served as the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech, Thami El Glaoui. The journey will continue towards the Valley of the Roses, ending the day in the Dades Valley where accommodations will be provided.
