DAY 1: MARRAKECH – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – KASBAH AIT BEN HADOU – DADES VALLEY
Ait Ben Haddou - Embark on an exhilarating tour of Morocco’s eastern region, traveling comfortably in a modern, air-conditioned minibus. The guide will collect guests from their Marrakech hotel at 7:15 a.m. and accompany them to the departure point. The journey will traverse the Atlas Mountains, leading to the Kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou.
The Kasbah, consisting of six within a fortified city, is truly enchanting. Visitors will feel as though they’ve stepped back in time to the era of gladiators, desert nomads, and ancient trade markets. Lunch on the first day will be served in the Kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou following the guided tour.
Ouarzazate - The next destination on the first day is Ouarzazate, where the stunning scenery of a city that has hosted numerous blockbuster films can be admired. Classics such as The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed in this city, often referred to as “The Gateway to the Desert.”
Dadès Gorges - In this gateway city to the desert, there will be a stop at a café before continuing to the Dades Valley. Here, guests can relax at a private guesthouse in Dades, complete with an en-suite bathroom, and savor the culinary delights of a Moroccan evening meal.
DAY 2: BOUMALNE DADES VALLEY – TINGHIR – TODRA GORGE – MERZOUGA
Merzouga - The following morning begins with a hearty breakfast at the guesthouse before departing for the Todra Gorge. The Todra Gorge is breathtaking, with scenery so stunning it seems deserving of being a world wonder. After lunch on the second day, the journey continues to Merzouga.
The Overnight Stay in a Desert Camp
Merzouga is truly at the heart of the desert. Here, guests will ride camels across the Dunes of Erg Chebbi, concluding at the Berber desert camp for an overnight stay. At the desert camp, an evening meal and breakfast the next morning will be provided before embarking on the final day’s journey back to Marrakech.
DAY 3: MERZOUGA – OUARZAZATE – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH
Marrakech - Camels will transport guests back to Merzouga, from where the journey continues through the Draa Valley, with sights to see at Rissani. The Moroccan architecture in the palaces, gateways, and temples offers numerous photographic opportunities.
The final leg of the tour passes through Nqob and Tamnougalt before returning to the familiar city of Ouarzazate. Lunch can be enjoyed at any café before heading back through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, concluding the journey. Arrival in Marrakech is anticipated around 8:00 p.m.
