Day 1: Marrakech / Ait Ben Haddou / Ouarzazate / Gorges

After breakfast, the operator will meet guests at their hotel in Marrakech to begin the journey towards the High Atlas via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. This scenic route ascends from the plains to 2,260 meters above sea level, passing through charming villages, small waterfalls, and the ever-changing landscapes and colors of these stunning mountains. A stop at the pass for a refreshing cup of mint tea and to admire the view is planned before continuing to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, arriving in time for lunch. Visitors can explore the renowned Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for movies such as The Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia, The Legionary, and The Sheltering Sky. The tour will then proceed to Ouarzazate, home to the Atlas Studios, the largest and most famous film studios in Africa. The journey continues through the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, reaching the Dades Gorge by sunset. Here, guests will stay in a traditional and romantic hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorges / Erfoud / Merzouga “Erg-Chebbi”

In the morning, after breakfast, guests can enjoy a walk through the Todra Gorges before driving along the road of the 1000 Kasbahs. The route passes through Tineghier village and the Jewish Kasbah, arriving in Rissani in time for lunch. A walk in Rissani will reveal the area’s large market and Kasbahs. The journey then continues towards Merzouga, arriving before sunset. Here, guests will leave their car at a hotel and embark on a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi Dunes for an unforgettable night in a Berber tent, dining under a star-filled sky and spending the night in the tent.

Day 3: Merzouga / Rissani / Ziz Oasis / Medilt / Fez

On the final day, the camel guide will wake guests in time to witness the sunrise over the 300-meter-high dunes, then head towards the Algerian border. After returning by camel to the hotel for breakfast and a shower, the journey to Fez begins. The route passes through Rissani, the first capital of the Alaouite dynasty, and continues through the Ziz Valley. A stop for lunch is planned in the apple village along the way. The journey proceeds through the mountains and cedar forests, reaching Fez in the afternoon, marking the end of the trip. There will be opportunities to stop for panoramic views and photographs.
