Wonderful Tour!!! - Our tour guide was wonderful!!! He was very informative, funny and attentive. He took the time to learn all of our names and really made the whole experience better than we could have expected! If you’re looking for a great tour in Marrakesh, look no further!!!

Fascinating and worthwhile experiences with excellent guides - We arranged two tours of different aspects of Marrakech through Withlocals and were absolutely delighted with both. 1. Djemaa El Fna Square Market Tour and Tastings. Adil met us near the Koutoubia Mosque at 6.00pm on the Friday evening as arranged, he is a very pleasant and cheerful individual, very easy to talk with. We spent the next 3 hours with him as he took us to a number of establishments we would never have found and at each one purchased food or drink for us to sample. We continued through the Medina and on into the square with Adil explaining everything we saw or tasted, answering all our questions on the way. Just after 9.00pm he led us back to an area we knew so that we could return to the Riad. Tremendously enjoyable tour with a man very happy with his life. 2. Highlights and Hidden Gems of Marrakech. Rachid met us on the Saturday morning at 10.00am in the same location as the previous evening, he also is a most pleasant man, keen to show us some of the beautiful parts of the city and easy to talk with. He first showed us the area adjacent to the mosque where much earlier buildings had existed then asked us whether there was any particular place we wished to visit, we said we were very interested in architecture and wished to see Madrasa Ben Youssef and whatever else we could in the time available. Rachid realised that my wife has some issues when walking and suggested we take a taxi as it was a 20 minute walk and very hot, he then negotiated a very favourable fare. We spent quite some time at the Madrasa, Rachid explaining it's history and how areas were used, a most beautiful place and being with a licenced guide meant we could by-pass the entrance queue! After this, at our request, he took us around the souk showing us the areas we had said particularly interested us, he provided us with drinks and helped negotiating for the couple of items we purchased then led us back to an area we knew. Another great experience, most enjoyable and informative with someone happy to be there.

Excellent food tour - Excellent guide who knew the medina like the back of his hand and showed us many interesting locations we would never have known about

Fantastic taste of the Medina - Omar did an amazing job by being both informative and really relaxed. He used his local knowledge to give us a real flavour of the Medina using the local food culture. We visited food places that are not obvious but all really good examples of what the go to places for locals. He definitely impressed us with his knowledge and made the entire experience very special

Great way to get your first tastings of Marrakesh with a local guide - Omar is a very pleasant and knowledgeable gentleman he not only explained the type of food we would be eating but how it complimented what we would have with it. I could not eat all the food but found each and everyone very tasty

Food Tastings - Our tour guide was excellent taking us to street vendors that locals would visit. The tastings were all excellent and it was a lot of food. Our guide was knowledge about not the food but the culture. Our guide put in the extra effort and accommodated my daughter's dietary needs, as she is lactose intolerant. We were very full with large serving sizes. The main course was on a rooftop - with a view! It was a great night!

More cultural tour than food tour. - We learned a lot about the culture of Morocco. Also came in new places. It wasn't a culinary discovery.

Disappointing - Our guide was changed last minute; no big deal. The night before he contacted us to try and put us with another group. We paid for a private tour so I refused. He agreed. An hour before the tour was to start it was raining and he asked to reschedule. We were leaving the following day to a new location so it wasn’t possible, also, we had umbrellas and we didn’t think a little rain was a problem. He said that the rain was too much and offered a cancellation with a refund. At this point, I felt that our guide just ultimately didn’t want to give the tour, and that insisting on continuing would have resulted in an awkward and uncomfortable experience. He was assigned last minute, tried to pawn us off to other group, and then didn’t want to deal with the rain. So I agreed to a full refund and cancellation which was handled promptly. This is the first time I’ve had a less than amazing experience using this service.

Avoid DO NOT BOOK ripoff not as advertised - !!!!!!! Awful do not book !!!!!!! It's advertised as a 10 food tasting with drinks with vegetarian alternative. We had 2 x small Deserts, one avocado smoothie, 1 x omelette between 2. A handful of olives and a beef tagine between 3. No vegetarian alternative option offered. One bottle of water and one tea which we had to insisted on. We didn't get the dates, salad and tea and biscuits. Were taken to a pharmacist which was not advertised. Asked for a refund and have been flatly refused. Avoid as a complete ripoff.
