• Slat Al Azama Synagogue - Like other synagogues in Morocco, Slat Al Azama is situated in the Mellah and was constructed around 1492 for the Jewish community. Built around a central courtyard, it exemplifies traditional architecture. Recently renovated, it now includes an erzat nachim (women’s gallery) on the eastern wall, and the typically movable wooden arch has been replaced with a marble arch along the eastern wall.
