High Atlas Mountains - The driver will pick up guests at 07:30 am to embark on a 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes, passing through the Dades Gorges via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. This journey offers expansive views of the mountains and traditional Berber villages….

Marrakech-High Atlas-Ait Ben Haddou-Dades 330km

Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - The tour continues with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site, followed by lunch at a restaurant located at the base of the Kasbahs. After lunch, the journey proceeds to Ouarzazate, with an option to visit the Atlas Studios and Taourirt Kasbah.

Dades Gorges - The tour then moves on to the Dades Gorges through Skoura and the Rose Valley, with dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Risani - Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. 304km

Todgha Gorge - After breakfast, the journey continues from Dades Gorges to the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Along the way, travelers will pass through Berber villages and the Todra Gorges.

Merzouga Desert - The route includes Tenghir, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet begins. Upon arrival in Merzouga, guests can enjoy a camel ride over the sand dunes and witness a stunning Sahara sunset en route to the camp. Upon reaching the destination, guests are welcomed with tea and smiles. They will be shown to their comfortable private tents (if selected) to relax before dinner. After a delightful meal, a fire is lit, and a festive atmosphere ensues with musical performances by the staff and cameleers under the starry desert sky.

Merzouga - Erfoud - Errachidia - Midelt - Cedar Forest (monkeys) - Fes. 532km

Location voiture Errachidia - An early morning wake-up is recommended to witness the sunrise from the top of the Chebbi sand dunes. Breakfast is served in the camp before heading north towards Fez via the High Atlas Mountains. The journey includes stops in Erfoud, Errachidia, and Midelt. There will be a lunch break and opportunities to photograph wild monkeys in the Cedar forests of Azrou before arriving in Fez, where guests will be dropped off at their accommodation.

From the desert to Fez - We have enjoyed our journey from Marrakech to Fes through the desert. Always well attended and our last trip with Abdul has been amazing, without stopping dancing in the car.

An experience to repeat - The experience was amazing and we would definitely repeat. The best: - The night at the hotel (Maison D'hotes Restaurant Chez L'Habitant Amazigh). -The camp was inside the desert and away from most camps although other companions of the excursion who had booked by other means (we believe it was for that reason) were in one at the entrance of the desert. - The guide of the second day, helped us in everything we needed besides explaining things great. "The worst": - The restaurants in which they stand at tourist price (10 euros the menus mostly) - The guide de ait ben haddou is not optional, he was angry when we reminded him but in the end we agreed to do the tour and for 25 dirhams it was worth it as it took us along roads where you could see great views.

Excellent - It was well orgnized , everything was excellent Transportation , foods , accommodations , camel riding ... Except the long way to reach Merzouga then to reach fes on the next day is a little bit stressed Highly recommend!

Must - I went with my girl friend on this wonderful experience , must do it when visiting Morocco . very nice team from the manager of the company Mr Younes who was very professional to answer to our questions . The Minibus clean and confortable pick up from our riad ,the driver Mustapha kind person helful he takes care of us all the way .loved the frequent rest stops along the way for toilet, lunche,take photos... All lunch meals are delicious , we learned lots of history of the ksar ait ben haddou very interesting also the berbers lifsyle ,the hotel accommodation was good, the unforgettable part is the camel ride experience really very lovely , we enjoyed a dinner at night in the desert with fire and entertainment with lot of drumming and singing. It was the trip of a lifetime, definitely recommend!

Great tour - Great tour and way to see the country of Morocco. Friendly driver and lots of stops along the long drive. Enjoyable sites in the valley and Aït Benhaddou. Sahara desert camp was definitely the highlight of the trip. The camel ride through the desert and accompanying views were unbeatable. Campsite was spacious, clean, and wonderfully decorated. Enjoyed the food and nighttime dance/music.

Great tour, friendly driver, nicely paced - Me and my boyfriend did this tour in February. We were joined by 4 others. Our driver was the lovely Mustafa. He was friendly and welcoming, spoke good English and made sure we were all happy and enjoying ourselves. The van was comfortable and although there is a lot of driving on this trip, we had lots of breaks at different view points/shops/cafes etc to stretch our legs. The tour around Ben Haddou was really interesting with a fun guide. The stay in the mountains was in a huge fancy hotel where we were the only guests so was a bit weird but I assume it gets much busier in the summer. The camel ride was great, and the berbers entertained us after dinner with lots of drumming and singing. We stayed in the middle accommodation which is just a bed in a tent but that's all we needed. It's VERY cold so be prepared and take lots of layers. We also really enjoyed the tour with Omar(?) around Goulmima Ksar, we learnt lots of history and about the way of life there. He even showed us inside his father's home. I would definitely recommend the tour, particularly if you have Mustafa as your driver!

Nice trip - we had a really great experience with all the tour. they picked us up on time from our riad in marrakesh. we had a great trip in our way to merzouga with our driver moustafa ( great driverand very friendly) . the trip its long but the van was comfortable and we had several stops to eat , to the toilet and points of interes to take pictures. the dromedary ride was cool and all the ones in charge were nice and friendly. keep in mind you need to travel with warm clothes because the night its really cold. the trip to fez was really long, but it has enought stops to rest. thanks moustafa for everything !!!

Wonderful experience - The start was very good, our driver Mostafa lets us know via different channels what time we will be picked up and is ready on time. The van is neat and fully equipped, also Bluetooth connection possible to play your own music. The first part of the journey is through the mountains so if you are quickly car sick it is wise to take something for this. There are regular stops to view beautiful viewpoints. I would appreciate it if it was clear in advance what exactly the planning of the trip is. You know this in general, but what exactly is the duration of the pieces in the car and what time you arrive somewhere is difficult to estimate. For example, we really wanted to go to the desert on day 2, because this was our main reason for this excursion. Now it turned out that even if you arrive earlier, you have to wait until 5pm to take a dromedary to the tent camp. So quicker the stops etc makes no sense at all. We would also advise to take the luxury variant of the trip, the luxury tent camp was great and fully equipped. But the hotel that belonged to the ‘medium’ version of our trip is very disappointing. It was cold and deserted. The rooms were poor; sometimes no hot water, doors that are difficult to open, toilets that do not flush and heaters that do not work. The experience itself was otherwise great, we would recommend everyone to make this trip. Personally, we liked Marrakech better than Fez so we would probably make the trip the other way around. And staying longer in that desert, because this is just so beautiful and special. Tip: get up early at the overnight stay in the desert because then you can watch the sunrise and sandboard (which is free) By the way, don't expect to be in the real sand dunes any time soon, you'll only get there for a very short time. Along the way, the landscape changes a lot. Which is already particularly beautiful to see.

Desert Experience Well Worth It! - Yes, the trip involves lots of driving. Our wonderful driver, Ahmed(?), stopped enough times to stretch, use the bathroom, purchase snacks, and even take pics. Our group was wonderful and some sights along the trip were gorgeous. The desert/dunes experience was well worth it! To be honest, we booked the luxury tents and there was never a disclaimer (either Viator/Tour Operator) that we would be separated from the non-luxury folks. We are bonding with a group of people for 2 days, we bought food and liquor to celebrate my bday with all of them and all of a sudden you want to separate/take us to a distant camp site with people we don’t know? Not cool. They did this to us also on the first hotel night, separating us from almost everyone else. Wanted to be clear in case you book with more people in separate reservations and don’t want to be separated.

We booked this trip in... - We booked this trip in Oct 2024 for 4 of us (2 elderly in our group). Like what the other reviewers commented, we were unaware where we are heading to during the whole trip, the driving for each destination is long. The Ksar Ait Ben Haddou was not optional at all. Even though we inform them that our elderly parents are unable to take the stairs and wish to wait at the ending pt or at the restaurant while the grp can proceed. The guide lie to us saying that it is the only way to get to the restaurant, which is for us to go through Ait Ben Haddou by climbing the stairs up and then down and exit from the bridge. We later realised that it was not the case. They could just walk to the restaurant( end pt) by the main road. The hotel that we stayed overnight in was shabby and cold even though we paid for the luxury option. 3 tajines were shared among a grp of 10 and it's obviously not enough for some big guys. The trip back to Fes was in a taxi, where 6 passengers and a driver shared. Not that comfortable for a long drive.
