Jemaa el-Fnaa - DAY 1 :
FES – IFRAN – MIDELT – MERZOUGA DESERT
(8 HOURS DRIVE)
Start your day with an early breakfast at your hotel or riad in Fez. Your English-speaking driver/guide will pick you up early, at 7:00 AM in winter and 8:00 AM in summer, to ensure you have ample time to reach Erg Chebbi for the sunset.
Your journey from Fes to Marrakech will take you across the Saiss plains towards the Cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifran and Azrou. Keep an eye out for Barbary apes along the road and take some photos.
Continue to Midelt for a lunch break. From there, proceed across the Ziz River, passing countless towering palm trees and fortified Kasbahs to Erfoud, then on to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. Here, your camel caravan awaits to take you on a ride like a nomad to witness the mesmerizing sunset over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.
Return on your camels to your Sahara desert camp to freshen up before enjoying dinner under the stars, accompanied by local nomads playing their drums.

DAY 2 :
MERZOUGA DESERT – ERFOUD – TINGHIR – DADES VALLEY
(4 HOURS DRIVE)
After an early sunrise camel ride, meet your guide in Merzouga. Today’s drive will showcase one breathtaking scene after another, including the beautiful oasis of Tinghir. Here, you can stroll along the Todgha riverbank, visit Berber villages, and learn about the local lifestyle before exploring the magnificent Todgha Canyons and having lunch on-site.
In the afternoon, travel along the Kasbah road to Dades Valley, where you can visit one of the fortified Kasbahs before arriving at your boutique guest house.
Dinner and overnight in Dades Valley.

DAY 3 :
DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – KASBAH AIT BEN HADOU – MARRAKECH
(7 HOURS DRIVE)
After breakfast, drive through the Valley of the Roses to Kalaa Mgouna, where you can visit a Rose water cooperative and learn how locals create rose-scented perfumes using distilled rose water.
Continue to Ouarzazate, passing Skoura oasis, known for its date palm trees, then to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Enjoy lunch before visiting the Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, used as a set for various Hollywood movies, fashion, and commercial shoots. The Kasbah is well-preserved, consisting of multiple Kasbahs clustered together, appearing as a single unit.
In the afternoon, descend through the Atlas Mountains past Tizi Ntichka Pass, passing by various Berber villages with stone and mud houses. Notice how life here remains unchanged for centuries, with most locals being shepherds.
Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your driver will take you to your riad or hotel.
