- Essaouira - Experience the city of the wind and see a different side of Morocco beyond Marrakech. Enjoy the sun and endless shades of blue in the sky and throughout the city, from the old doors to the market dishes. The beach is still relatively empty at the end of March, offering beautiful little nooks and crannies and a setting that meets the highest expectations of Morocco. It’s truly exotic and certainly one of the most beautiful days in Morocco.

Essaouira - On the journey, travelers will encounter two main highlights:
- Goats on argan trees: The argan tree, also known as “the goat tree,” is loved by goats for its fruits. They climb it with surprising ease, cling to the branches, settle there, and enjoy its fruits. They consume only the pulp and discard the kernel, which is then collected by locals to produce oil for their use.
- Female cooperative for argan oil extraction: These cooperatives exclusively employ women to process the nuts. Numerous cooperatives exist between Essaouira and Marrakech, providing women with paid work and a degree of autonomy. Approximately 2,000 women are employed in these cooperatives.
- Essaouira - Upon arrival in Essaouira, travelers will have about 5 hours of free time. They can begin by exploring the old medina of Essaouira. The city boasts significant tourist potential due to its natural, historical, and cultural assets, making it a major tourist destination. Its medina has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. The maze of alleys divides the districts and various souks. Despite the organization, the souk offers a wide range of products, from clothing to spices, necklaces, bracelets, and other items, followed by olives and other fruits and vegetables.
There are numerous restaurants where the fresh morning catch is prepared for lunch or dinner. Many other traditional dishes are also available, and it’s delightful to relax on a terrace in the refreshing shade of the trees.
- Medina of Essaouira - The Medina features numerous gates within the city medina, influenced by two distinct styles. The Cherifian style, reminiscent of Marrakech’s fortifications, features rounded doors, while the European style includes pedimented doors and fluted columns.
- Essaouira Beach - Tourists can unwind on deckchairs at the beach, enjoy a drink, or savor Moroccan specialties while basking in the sun. The golden sand, caressed by the waves, makes Essaouira beach one of the most beautiful in Morocco. Visitors can admire the kitesurf sails’ arabesques in the blue sky, as well as surfers cutting through the waves in a well-coordinated ballet. For the more adventurous, lessons are available, or equipment can be rented. Return from Essaouira is around 4:00 p.m.
