What an absolutely fantastic experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Communication before was excellent. Travelling as a solo female I felt safe.
Scenery was amazing, food so tasty and the views were just wow!

Perfect experience - What an amazing experience. The hike was absolutely beautiful and just what I needed on this trip! If you want to see authentic Morocco, away from the hustle of Marrakech— highly recommend. Our guide was very professional and I felt safe the entire hike. I would wear actual hiking boots and consider poles— portions of the trail were covered in snow. It’s not a bad hike (no scrambling), but loose gravel and got a little steep at some points. Highly recommend.

Good hike in good company - We wanted to do a proper hike in the mountains but only had one day to use for it. With very limited knowledge of the area, we also needed a local to guide us with the routes and the winter weather. We got a great, friendly local guide, Abdou, who knew the mountains like his own pockets and also willingly shared his knowledge and experience about the local life, history, language(s), and geographics. The itinirary was adjusted to the weather (snow) but that is how it is with the mountains. We still got to choose the altitude we wanted to climb to from available options. Litter was seen everywhere even higher up, which was disturbing and sad. However, for us, the visit to the mountains accompanied by Abdou was the highlight of our few days in Marrakech.

An unforgettable day with the most amazing guides - We had the most unbelievable day with Ibrahim and his nephew Abdul. Starting in Imlil, we had a delicious tea and cookie on the balcony of Ibrahim’s family home with an amazing view of the valley. We then set off on the hike which took us along narrow paths and rocky terrain. We made frequent stops along the way to catch our breath whilst Ibrahim or Abdul explained something about our surroundings or answered any questions we had about Morocco.
Whilst walking we came across many goats making their way up the mountain which was beautiful to witness. We were also overtaken by the mule which was carrying some of the walkers’ bags up to the top. Upon reaching the plateau, there was a small structure where we were able to purchase a freshly squeezed orange juice and have a seat before the final uphill stretch of the walk.
We then made our way up to the very top, roughly 2800m elevation, which was both challenging and enjoyable. On the way we saw many crows gliding through the air which was also a wonderful sight. At the very top, we could see in every direction, snow topped mountains and vast plains of sand, truly remarkable.
We then descended back down to the plateau where a kind gentleman had prepared our lunch, a delicious selection of eggs, bread, fruit, salad and pasta. We sat and enjoyed the stunning views with our fellow hikers on a comfortable rug with cushions and had another tea before making our way back down to Imlil. The route down was different and we used the more relaxed walking time to ask Abdul lots of questions, which he was always very happy to answer and provided us with lots of interesting insights into life in Morocco.
We can’t express what an amazing and truly unforgettable day we had. The hike completely exceeded our expectations and was made even more exceptional by Ibrahim and Abdul’s company and guidance.
An absolute must do if you enjoy hiking, with the most jaw droppingly beautiful scenery. Thank you so much Ibrahim and Abdul.

Snow Capped Atlas Peaks - Excellent hiking experience. If you are in decent physical shape with moderate hiking experience you should be fine. We hiked for 5.5 hours, covered 7.5 miles and 3k of elevation. The mountain peaks were all snow capped the day we hiked. Lunch at the Berber hut exceeded expectations too. Great day & great guide.

Beautiful Vistas in Snow Capped Atlas Peaks - Overall a great experience. We hiked for about 5.5 hours, covering 7.5 miles and 3k feet of elevation. Mountain peaks were all snow capped from the day before. The views at 8,900 feet were amazing. The lunch in the Berber camp far exceeded expectations for a high altitude meal.

Fantastic hike in the Atlas mountains. - My husband and I took a day Atlas Mountain hike with the company Climbing Toubkal. It was a last minute booking the evening before. The communication from the company was instant and within the hour they had responded to my queries straight away. We were given clear direction where we would be meeting our driver , and we a phone number to ring if we had any problems. This was all very reassuring.
The taxi driver to the mountains was friendly. He was from a local village and was able to tell us information about the surrounding area.
We met up with our local guide Lechen. He was a fantastic guide. Despite not feeling the best , with his sheer enthusiam and encouragement Lechen managed to get us both up to the top of the mountain, something I was desperate to do. The views were stunning, and Lechen was very informative about the floral and fauna of the Atlas mountains. We would highly recommend Lechen as Mountain guide. We had a great day's hike with him, and can't wait to come to back to the Atlas mountains for another hike with him.

Fantastic Hike in Toubkal National Park - We were picked up by a driver near our accommodation in Marrakech and we collected our guide on the way to Imlil. We started our walk from there, visiting waterfalls before heading off on our hike at 1760m. It was a beautiful walk up to Tizi M’Zik pass where we had lunch at 2480m. After a delicious lunch provided by the cafe at the pass we continued our hike to the top of Tasghimout. The views along the way and at the peak were stunning. We headed home on the same path. Our guide, Abdul, was fantastic. He told us so many interesting things along the way and his English was great.
