Atlas Mountain Crest day-trip from Marrakech - Out-and-back Day hike starting from Imlil... straight up a mountain valley to the crest... 3 hours up and 2 hours down. Healthy and delicious lunch cooked for us at the top.
Terrain was about 25% scree, so be sure to wear hiking boots or trail runners. Also, full sun exposure, so load up the SPF 50.
Our local guide, Hassan, spoke perfect English and was a great storey-teller along the trek. He turned a 5-star experience into 6.

Stunning views with an amazing guide - Brahim was an amazing guide, one of the best we have ever had. He knows alot about Morocco and his mountain community. He is kind, joyful, and engaging. The views were stunning and the hike was a really good one. His pace was good, not too fast or slow. We would definitely use him again if we ever return to Morocco.

Best guide ever, beautiful hike with stunning views - Brahim is one of the best guides we've ever had. He is kind, joyful, knows the community well and was a wealth of information. He knows Morocco well and it was really fun dialoguing about his country and as well as the natural elements of the hike. The views were stunning on the hike as well. He went at a good pace, not too fast or slow. Overall we highly recommend the hike with him and would request him as our guide if we are able to come again.

Splendid days hiking around Imlil - Days hiking from Imlil with Hassan as our guide. Bus journey about 90 mins to start. Climbed up to col at about 8000 feet where a splendid lunch was being prepared for us. During the walk Hassan was courteous and caring towards our needs. Provided loads of information on the area and was generally interesting to chat to over several hours.
Organisation of trip excellent by local agents with mini bus driver excellent and helpful in getting us as close to home in medina as possible. Great value for money, delighted to recommend

Great Atlas Mountain Experience - Amazing day out in the Atlas Mountains, surrounded by stunning views. Our small group (3) were collected from our hotels in Marrakech and driven to Imlil, which is already higher than any point in the UK. Our expert guide then took us up a further 3000ft amongst trees, some with goats in, to fabulous views across surrounding valleys. We took in the views and had a picnic lunch at the top before descending - round trip under 4hrs hiking.

Best day hike from Marrakech - The communication with Brahim was brilliant start to finish, and we had the most wonderful day with our guide, who was brilliant. We were fortunate that it was just my partner and I for the day, and the hike was a tough but worthwhile challenge, with the views a 10/10. Lovely food at the top, and we even got to visit a waterfall as we made it back down with so much time to spare!
The elevation gain was approx. 850m, and the distance 12km all in. Bring hiking shoes as the terrain at the top was very dry and therefore slippy.

The Best Day Trip From Marrakech - We had a memorable hiking trip with Brahim, in a very small group of four. The trail had the most amazing views and ranged from local Berber villages to alpine and mountain trails 2600m up Mount Toubkal. Brahim has so many great stories to tell and has a wealth of knowledge about the local areas - he's also a bit of a local celeb having featured on National Geographic shows amongst others! We'd highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marrakech and will be doing a longer tour on our return - thanks Brahim!

Good taste of the Atlas Mountains. - Lovely day in the mountains. Pleasant walk not too rigorous but still felt like a good work out. Lunch was ideal nothing fancy but nice little packed lunch. If you’re expecting to get up into the peaks you won’t fit them in - in the time available but still great views.
