For those who don’t have enough time in Morocco for a Sahara desert tour, the Agafay desert is an excellent alternative. Unlike a sand desert, the Agafay desert features a sandstone and earthen plateau, with traditional mud-built villages and dusty riverbeds interspersed with lush pastures and vegetation in the spring. Visitors can enjoy tea with the locals. The combination of these three valleys leads to secluded, fertile areas where the daily life of the indigenous Berber people follows time-honored traditions. Spend a day immersing yourself in the authentic Morocco as you explore this ancient landscape, filled with hidden treasures and breathtaking views.
